Re: Set Automation Record Status to "Off"

Yeah, would love to find a way. Annoying assumption that one wants automation on everything as a default. It always comes up as 'latch' also, which I never want. Simple solution is always 'track groups window / all tracks', manually change it on everything, remember to turn off 'all tracks before yo...

Re: Direct hardware playthrough with 828mk3 - troubleshooting (no sound)

The classic “gotcha” in the cuemix I used 2006-2014 was muted channels in cuemix.

Re: Outbursts of crackles and digital sounding distortion with 8 pre ES

Spoke too soon. Still getting it. Doesn’t show up in the waveforms today, nothing visible in the silent test track, but very audible.

New clue - one instance was a microsecond loss of audio across all tracks - a full mute with accompanying sharp crackly edges.

Swapped the TB cable…..

Re: Outbursts of crackles and digital sounding distortion with 8 pre ES

4 days after replacing the Apple adapter, no noise bursts. During inactive periods I’ve put the system into record capturing silence to be sure. I’ll keep recording a test track I can visually monitor while making other recordings for awhile going forward. At some point I’ll swap the first adapter b...

Re: Outbursts of crackles and digital sounding distortion with 8 pre ES

I'm having something like this recently, several times it's been really bad, like every couple minutes. The bursts will be across all tracks, actually sounds like 1/2-1 second RF breakthrough, but without the alien landing ping-pong portion of that sound. It's only on the record side, I've never hea...

Re: Time stretching multiple soundbites simultaneously

Hi everyone! The way I deal with this issue: 1. Make sure that all soundbites lenght is the same, they all end at the same time. 2.Time stretch just one soundbite. 3. Place a marker at the end of the soundbite. 4. Adjust the rest of the soundbites to that marker. It´s a little bit tedious with seve...

Re: Time Stretch Multiple Tracks

I stitched up a bunch of edits on something and merged with all having the same start point. Used ‘scale time’ as a percentage. 8 stretched drum mics sound fine, no phase issues as with manual drag.

Re: Time Stretch Multiple Tracks

'scale time' - manual drag to determine desired change should generate scaling data that could then be used with 'scale time' - if it does, I can't find it. I don't think it's available.

Re: Time Stretch Multiple Tracks

Is there a way to time-stretch a soundbite that's been recorded on multiple tracks together? I seem to only be able to a soundbite (manually, with the little hand) on one track at a time. I'm going to regret sounding foolish for suggesting this if it doesn't work, but if all soundbites start at the...

Re: Time Stretch Multiple Tracks

Time stretching via the hand tool should really be included as an option in Track Groups. Keep it simple for those not using strict tempo, tempo maps, MIDI, etc.

People seem to say "get outa here, go use Logic" for that approach.

Re: Time Stretch Multiple Tracks

It was suggested that ‘scale time’ works, though I’ve not tried it. Trial and error on one until you get it where you want it, then, apply to the rest? So far I don’t see any scaling data generated from a manual drag, which is a….drag.

I would guess that'd be seen as an aggregate device and one would have to have drift correction turned on - non-ideal.

Slip tool bug?

Possible edge edit bug after using slip tool to move file within fixed time window. Have seen this a couple times. If I use the slip tool on recorded audio, then edge edit back to a smaller soundbite, there’s a large number of duplicate layers underneath which continue to be revealed with each attem...

odd Bounce to Disk event

First time I've sever seen this, seems to be related to one chunk of a specific session. The very beginning of audio (fractions of a second) is missing in a bounce, and there's ample fade up space before the beginning of audio in the selected bounce area. The bounce file is the proper length, it's j...

Re: "File Not Found (-43)"

OK, just happened first time in forever. While recording. Wouldn't dismiss, couldn't stop transport. 'Saved as', got control back, file was recording the whole time, nothing lost.
