Re: Share your favorite DP tip!

Maybe I've missed this, but how can I quickly get numbers into the punch in and punch out areas. I know about counter to auto record, memory to , remember times etc, what I want is to hit auto record, then hit a key command to highlight the punch in point (and/or the punch out point) and just write ...

Re: I'm missing it... what's so great about V-Racks?

One benefit(has this been mentioned?)...last film I did every time I switched chunks EWQLSO would take 2-3 mins to load.(Dual 2.5)..not fun when you're under the pump, or have a director sitting around waiting to hear stuff.

Re: Question about strings

I think you're talking about the wondeful disco string sound...I would agree that pitch bend is the way to go but experiment drawing in curves in the graphic editor until you get the sound you want rather than trying to use the pitch wheel. Maybe layer a marcato type stg sound with a sustain that pi...

Re: Switch from Opcode to MOTU

Vijay...I moved to DP 5 years ago once I realised SVP was dead and buried (although I still look in on the opcode-users list now and then in the hopes of hearing about some secret project to port SVP to OS X...) It has a lot of great features and quite a few I couldn't do without. Just realise that ...

Can DP live on a firewire drive?

Hello Unicumbrians I have to go overseas for a job and can have some gear hired for me to save me taking my mac. Can I install DP on a FW drive with its own system before I leave and just take the drive? Can I run DP off this drive? Or will it be better to take all my install disks over and install ...

What is everyone using for firewire DV?

I'm about to buy a firewire DV box, wondering what everyone is using and can recommend. i know a few using the Canopus ADVC1000, also found a box called Datavideo dac-100 which is cheaper here in Oztralia, always a factor with our pacific peso.
Thanks
