Client: Do you use protools?
Me: No way, I prefer higher end stuff. I use Digital Performer. But I can give you a protools session when we are done making great music and then if you ever need it, which I assure you that you won't, you'll have it.

Teddy Riley talks MOTU
This is a very inspiring piece on Teddy Riley. A cool sample from MJ's new CD and a little sweet BPM promo. It doesn't get any more Big League than this!!!

100% audio render of all VI's... I agree, keep It simple... You want that CPU and ram available to run the program free with nice performance and no glitches...

That's the main reason we haven't gone to chunks...
By creating linear sequences, we can program in crossfades and transitions for some of the back to back songs with no hiccups or
Pauses

Gonna use DP for backtracks for the first time...
We do this at my church every weekend. Currently, I just import each song into the sequence as separate tracks and add markers. The folks that run it have been trained in the basic start/stop controls and how to jump to markers. Ive thought about using chunks but haven't ventured there yet. By the w...

Best virtual drum software for DP
I've been following this thread with interest as I don't currently own any virtual drum software (except DP's model 12). Please forgive my ignorance. Do the products you've all been discussing do replacement, or does one have to get something like Drumagog to complement these? Phil You can use any ...

BFD 2 is amazing! I use it on almost everything. The grooves are great and The programmability is Sweet in DP. I am able to program tracks that pro drummers can't even tell they are not live. I will say though that it is 300% better when you add on the Yamaha Maple Custom kit and the Oak kit. They a...

The Ultimate DP Training Series DVD?
I have them, they are awesome! A lot of topics covered, very well organized too.
Well worth the $80
Easy to reference... I would consider them great for intermediate users but only average for highly advanced users.

If you are referring to MSI, I would say that the brass is the weakest part of the library.
The strings are great, simple and CPU friendly. Pianos are pretty good too.
