Re: MSI vs Kontakt 5, curious about playability, winds, etc.
Like other VSTi's, MSI has several sounds that I keep going back to. For instance, if I need to add a simple piano part that doesn't hog RAM, I load one from MSI. The brass is not terrible and has good sound, but it's very difficult to control. The velocity mapping is quite shoddy, and will switch t...

Re: M5 3 sample start and end markers
This is sort of a pain in M5 because the cursor ends up making a selection instead of grabbing the start or end. I've had better success grabbing from exactly where the letter S or E is, but even then it is difficult to be accurate. One thing that is slightly inconvenient is that the letter S covers...

Re: MachFive 3.0.3 update available
Third time's the charmer. I've been using 3.0.3 for a week with no crashes FINALLY. Even I can't seem to break it (usually I'm pretty good at that). It's unfortunate that it took 8 months to get the bugs out.

Re: Cosmic Egg
Oooo, nice image from one of my favorite painters. Captures the situation exactly.
I don't think this is a capacitor issue because it's happened with a MDD G4, a G5 PowerPC and now with a 2010 iMac.
I'm just curious about it because it's a very unusual phenomenon. And it's very loud when it happens!

Re: HELP!!! DP 6.02 crashes when I try to bounce Soundbites
I had this exact problem tonight bouncing audio. "File buffer not ready (Disk is too slow? Too many tracks?) (MotuAudioSystem Mas MasRenderCache.cpp, 434 [1:0])" I ended up solving it by saving a copy of the project and it was OK again. I should note that this was originally a DP6 project ...

Cosmic Egg
I've had an unusual thing happen with MachFive (all versions, since 2003) and was wondering if anyone else has had the same thing happen. I'm working on a key group or auditioning a sample, and all of a sudden there is an immense *POP* following by a sizzling sound that increases in volume. I call i...

Re: MachFive Window won't close
Well, finally got MachFive 3 to behave itself. I updated to the 3.0.2 version but it didn't help much, although I was able to load single performances without it crashing so there was a glimmer of hope. I ended up checking the crash reports and one thing that kept coming up was references to MachFiv...

Re: Multiple Crashes in Standalone + Daw
Somethings def not working well with this version, I also loaded these same patches in kontakt 5, and no issues at all whatsoever. That's what I ended up doing too. I really, really tried to NOT to load everything into Kontakt 5 because I thought maybe MachFive 3 would be as great as Digital Perfor...

Re: MachFive Window won't close
My experiences with MachFive 3 have been pretty awful. Reminds me of the old releases of Performer back in the late 80's and being on hold for those phone calls to tech support. But that was over 20 years ago, so things have gotten better... except for MachFive it would seem. Yup, the window doesn't...
