Re: NAMM 2015: DP9

We should have an absolute grid. I get that. But deal breaker? C'mon. Don't be ridiculous. Shooshie I think someone suggested it's been deal breaker for seven years. That's a long painful divorce. But there might be someone whose entire job is snapping cues to grid positions. :sorry: That was...

Re: NAMM 2015: DP9

I do agree that if you really really need this, then you're probably using the wrong DAW, it's not the end of the world, and DAWs are not too expensive these days owning more than one is no financial burden really. DAWs are actually much cheaper than they were 15 years ago! It is unfortunat...

Shooshie Firstly, thank you for the information you provide in regards to alternate ways of achieving things. It is helpful, but I do have to respond to this comment. Note that I'm not speaking directly to yo...

It goes great with their renewed commitment to users who primarily work with audio in DP.

Re: NAMM 2015: DP9

So it seems like everyone is in agreement that the announced features after a 3 year wait deserves a full point upgrade to DP "9"? Definitely not. In fact, this update seems to be a good reason for me to stop using DP. :banghead: I'm starting to feel like I spend more time struggling agai...

Re: NAMM 2015: DP9

Most of the work I do requires me to have DP's relative grid snap as the MAIN way it snaps. Otherwise you drag some group of notes or soundbites and will it move your audio away from where you wanted it? Will it snap fronts? edges? splits? Just making a major •••• mess of it all? For MIDI, I almost...

Re: NAMM 2015: DP9

If it's not there, then I have to move on to greener pastures. I've suffered long enough Sry to take this OT. Maybe I don't understand what Absolute Grid is - is it not simply when events snap to the grid rather than to their relative positions? I can't see why that would be a deal breaker. Is it a...

Re: The Top 10 Most Requested Features

Give me absolute grid mode and I'll actually upgrade from dp6, and perhaps use DP.

Re: Horrible font display in DP8 on Windows 8

I'm glad I found this thread. I decided to try DP8 in windows 8.1 and the fonts are absolutely terrible. Unreadable in many cases. I really am curious how you guys in windows either don't notice, or don't have this issue. :surrender: I'm on Windows 7 but I really don't think there should be a diffe...

Re: Disable pre-render finction in DP6

I chose to answer the question. According to you (I'm speaking to James Steele here) , kassonica chose to insinuate that the OP maybe pirating. That is very different from 'chosing not to', and in fact is a passive-aggressive and baseless accusation. Which one is conducive to a professional and fri...

Re: Disable pre-render finction in DP6

I also do not see why to assume guilt until shown innocent either :| Maybe the guy is out on location, or working in another studio with dp6, or doesn't have access to a manual for a number of legitimate reasons :? That may be true. So you chose to answer the question. Some might not. It's a judgem...

One wonders why if it's so easy to find, why you didn't answer the guy's question. It surely would have taken the same amount of time to post  The reason HobbyCore is that some of we users are cautious when giving out answers to questions that seem simple enough that there's a possibility the...
