Re: High Sierra install wierdness SOLVED !
did you try putting "Sudo" in front of the command? It overrides some restrictions in permissions. Or maybe you can just use the System Preference for time and date? Bayswater, thanks for the suggestions. I did get the installer to launch. I needed to disconnect from the Internet to set t...

Re: High Sierra install wierdness
That did it !! I set the date and time back as far as I could go and the installer continued !!! How do you change the system date? Im trying to update from Sierra 10.12.6 to Mojave and get the "This copy of the Install macOS Mojave.app is damaged and can’t be used to install macOS" when ...

Barbabatch 5
Thought I’d post this here. There were inquiries on the list about audio file conversion. This 64 bit free upgrade to Barbabatch 5 is long awaited IMO. The was my go to conversion app for many years. From Audio Ease, Today we introduce BarbaBatch 5, a free upgrade for all users of BarbaBatch 4. In i...

Re: Can't find zoom command in Commands window
Which begs the question "why would you want to edit MIDI in the sequence editor?" lol I'm serious. It's most inconvenient compared to the MIDI editor. I almost always edit MIDI in the sequence editor. Fast and convenient for me. To each his/her own Mike and thanks to DP design we can both...

Pros & Cons of various macro utilties: QK vs KM vs CM vs ??
I’ve been using KM with DP for several years and I’m a big fan. It saves me a lot of time. Developer frequently updates the app and is responsive. The above mentioned Default Folder is also a “can’t do without utility” for me. No problems here with DP9 and Sierra/high Sierra. I came from QK myself a...

Re: Setting Chunk Start Time(s) for Scoring to Picture
This will depend on your frame rate. For this example, I'm using 30fps non-drop. Frames are based on a 24-hour clock, so set your frame start to 1:23 in front of "midnight": 23:59:58:07 (30 - 23 = 07). For different frame rates, subtract the 23 from that number. Hiro Honshuku posted a Mac...

Re: Setting Chunk Start Time(s) for Scoring to Picture
In your case do what FM wrote. It’s the best workaround for a provided movie with burn in that starts at 00:00:00:00. BUT, whoever rendered the movie should have known better than to do this. They should always start the viz code render at 1:00:00:00 for the first reel, act or whatever they name lar...

Re: DP10 available on the MOTU site NOW....
When I worked at MOTU... The first thing I would suggest is to create a new user account and log in to that. The value of the new user account is that it has all new default preferences, not just for DP but for the OS and other apps. It takes a minute to set up and log in to the new account. It wou...

Re: SONG and tempo
Studio Vision could play multiple "subsequences" simultaneously each with their own tempo IIRC.

Re: NAMM NEWS - DP 10 - It's Here!
Okay... pretty soon I think I'm going to separate out the discussion about continuous controller and move them to a new topic in the Troubleshooting/Criticism area, because that discussion seems to have taken on a separate life of its own and I feel would be more appropriate over there. Thank you J...

Re: NAMM NEWS - DP 10 - It's Here!
whatever you do, you end up with snapshots of EVERY plugin parameter instead of only the ones you allow in the Automation Setup box. Still look forward to DP10, looks great. I was responding to the above. No condescendence intended but apologies if interpreted as such or I got it wrong. It happens....

Re: NAMM NEWS - DP 10 - It's Here!
What about Automation Snapshot? I like snapshots in theory, but have never been able to get them to work as expected. Often end up with a lot of unwanted automation being written to track. Ha! You just reminded me of that other BIG automation BUG, OldTimey. And you're totally correct. What you ment...
