I just checked out what they charge for BarbaBatch. I guess it would want to be a damn good SRC for that price. Assumed you had BB and were looking at Peak as an alternative. If Peak LE does SRC it would be a good alternative because it's <$100 and maybe even less for any left over V4 boxes. Quattr...

OK thanks. I assumed the patches I had before were from OSX. Maybe they were from old versions of Logic or Cubase. I'll wait and see what my DP package brings.jarok wrote:HI
You might find those MIDI patch libraries from the Expansion Board Setup.
Expansion Board Setup is inside the DP Extras folder.

OSX MIDI Patches
I recall in previous versions of OSX, there were libraries of MIDI patches for common synths. Don't think I've seen these for quite a while on any of my Macs. Cubase has its own MIDI patch libraries, but wondering if I will need to restore the OSX MIDI patches to use in DP, and if so, how that is do...

The Melodyne PLUG-IN requires you to transfer audio to a folder first? I don't get it. That doesn't sound right - 10 seconds to open - that doesn't sound right either. Yes, sounds pointless to have made it a plug from a Rewire without gaining any of the convenience of that format. As well, the Rewi...

Re: Anyone using Melodyne?
I think it works at least as well, and sometimes more natural, and is a better interface. Uno is what I have and have been offered a half price change from a Rewire app to plug.mattfort wrote:They're offering a competitive upgrade to Auto Tune users... Any thoughts?

What I recall from the original articles on this was that quite a few apps had decent SRC. Barbabatch and Adobe Premier for two in addition to Peak. I think Quattro was decent as was Wavelab. So Steinberg already has a good algorithm and hasn't used it, unless they improved this in V4. I've signed t...

Re: Cubase User Considering Digital Performer on Windows - D
Cubase SX, of course, is as good a reason as anyone needs to jump ship to DP..... even blindly.. Tragically true. SX 3 had great potential. All the bits were there. If they had cleaned up the bugs and tweaked the workflow it would have been a killer. Instead they dumped SX and brought out TrainWrec...

Re: Is DP that small?
Am I going blind or is the interface for Audiodesk really tiny? All the controls seem super small. Is DP the same?? Thinking about upgrading to DP 5.1 is why Im asking. I have two 17'Apple Cinemas here. I feel like Im squinting all the time to see. i dont seem to do that with Cubase 4 or Protools 7...
