Re: Fine tune Audio I/O Timing

Page 33 of the Digital Performer Getting Started guide available in the DP10 Help menu provides good information that maybe helpful to you.

More information about what you're doing may provide clues as to why you're experiencing latency when recording with the settings you've indicated.

MOTU and macOS Catalina

The DP10 Welcome to Digital Performer window include a new entry, MOTU and macOS Catalina Clicking on the link opens the MOTU news and feature article page, but information regarding Catalina is not yet posted there. Other than increased security, there's little in this update that I find useful. Ma...

Re: DP 10 ??? Months In?

DP10.01 is very responsive here. I did explore changing the monitor profile but can't say it made a difference, as there wasn't a sluggish performande issue to begin with. There is one oddity that is present on both of my systems - the negative and positive exponential curve graphics are blank in th...

I have latest verions of LPX, Cubase, and S1 4.5.3. Cool features among them, but I prefer DP overall.

Re: DP 9 and 10 Cannot read heavy automation well, Proven!

Well, I've made one video at least. Here is the wild automation ramping built into DP. The blue section is a chorus being pasted in. Notice the long automation lines that change in the prior sections. That's is a design flaw. Hope this shines some light on the issue. https://vimeo.com/user99962727/...

Re: Stutter edit not seeing audio tracks

In my list of plug-in's there are two of everything, which includes two listed as 'Stutter Edit'. Good to hear you sorted this out. On a mono track, there's generally two of each plug-in of the same name: mono, and mono to stereo. Horizontally expand the plug-in insert window to view these descript...

Re: Native Instruments, hmmmm...

I thought long and hard before not upgradinng to K12U. Not enough to jusitify the expense from 11. Then again, over the years, the upgrade costs, especially during special promotionals have been fair.

No use speculating where this going, but the gut is not thrilled.

Re: Stutter edit not seeing audio tracks

This reminds me of inserting the MW Gate on an audio track and assigning MIDI notes to the MW Gate's key source. To make this work, the output of the MIDI track is assinged to the MW Gate. Maybe this will suggest the routing you need for the Stutter Edit plug-in. I see that it's a realtime manipulat...

Re: DP 9 and 10 Cannot read heavy automation well, Proven!

I think what "proves' DP has big automation problems is the fact that through SEVERAL operating systems, close to a decade of observation, new computers with clean installs etc, DP 8.07 can CONSISTENTLY read heavy automation. It has for years. This means DP CAN work!!! And DP 9 on has consiste...

Re: Constant crashing when editing beats

Try the File>Load function to move the content into a new project.
Lots of weird behavior can be resolved this way.

So I suppose is not a DP 10 bug but something wrong happens with this project.
Thanks for posting the additional information. This may help others in a similar situation.

stubbsonic wrote:Yea. It shouldn't require a save/quit/relaunch. So yea, if so, it's a bug.

Please report it to MOTU.

No need to save and relaunch here. But good to know in the event of some future issue.
Thanks!

Re: Delete pickup measure

Change Chunks Start to measure 1. Check.

Puzzler: "I have try to "set chunk start" at measure number at 0 and 1 but no change."
As mentioned, this suggests using the File>Load function.

Re: Delete pickup measure

Can you post a screeen shot image? I'm not sure I see your situation.

Is there MIDI data in the first measure whether labeled 0 or 1?
If yes, do you want to keep that MIDI data?

Setting the Chunk Start to measure 1 will set bar 1 in the Sequence. What changes when you do this?
