Didn't make it this morning, but I'll be there Tuesday for the Tool seminar.

I attended this morning's webinar, and it was very valuable. I learned a bunch of neat shortcuts based on DP's Temporary Group commands. I'll probably do them all.

I'll add my voice. DP has driven me crazy for the past year, but since I finally got things sorted, I am again in love with my fave software, fave developer and fave knowledge forum.

Thanks, gents. Yes, the authorizations carry over, and a lot of my stuff is authorized via iLok, so there wasn't any weirdness there. dix, that's exactly right... found myself with enough time that I started thinking of ways I could make things better.

I know I probably should have thought of creating a new user account on my own, by mad props to MOTU for the quick response.

MLC, it was something corrupted in that old account that affected everything the machine did. Who knows, as you say? And who cares? DP is back, baby!

My troubles with DP are well documented here... I was experiencing so many random freezes (endless beach ball, force quit, start over) I just couldn't use the program anymore. I tried everything... went back one version of OSX to High Sierra, updated back to Mojave, screwing around with plug in list...

I use them both, and I can tell you for sure that Logic Pro does NOT sound better than DP. If one can be said to sound better, it's Digital Performer.

DP 10 and 10.01 are both virtually unusable on my rig. It freezes and crashes constantly. Still, after a long and personally involved consultation with a MOTU CSR. And I couldn't effectively go back to DP 9 without spending way too much time trying to remove all the tendrils of DP 10. So I'm working...

You should be. It was a mess with 10.0, and 10.01 hasn't improved things much. I've actually come to believe that DP 10 has a conflict with DP9, and that the installer leaves bits and pieces of the other one when either of these versions is installed. I would advise you wait.
