Re: Font Sizes
The fonts in DP are mostly larger than those in the Finder, and I have no trouble with either on a 27" Apple Cinema Display. My eyes used to be better than average, so I know how advantageous perfect vision can be, but that's unfortunately no longer the case for me. Depending on how far I'm si...

Re: Font Sizes
When people say they're having a hard time seeing or reading something, believe it. Telling them that if they only knew the app better is ridiculous. And telling them that you don't have a problem with it is even more ridiculous. The small, unresizable font size in DP is an issue for many of us and ...

Re: Cloud Storage for DP Projects
I can tell you from experience that when Dropbox first arrived on the scene it would corrupt some file types leaving them completely worthless. Ever since then I have been a bit leery of it and I think testing before trusting is the best approach (for any of these services). Though I use Dropbox qui...

Re: Cloud Storage for DP Projects
Sorry, I haven't read the entire thread. Have you tested these files by downloading them from Dropbox (not the local folder) and opening them in DP?frankf wrote:I should clarify the Dropbox process. If I copy an unzipped project to my local Dropbox folder, I get no error and it uploads fine.

Re: Cloud Storage for DP Projects
I use Amazon S3 (Simple Storage Solutions) which is a part of AWS (Amazon Web Services). You pay for the storage you use (which is unlimited) and nothing else. It is extremely low cost... pennies. Here's a description and video about it. http://aws.amazon.com/s3/ I used Gobbler for awhile, I still h...

Re: Slate's Virtual Mix Rack is finally out!
I don't think it will be much longer. I read Steven's updates and they are working hard on it. My guess is it will be by the end of this year.

Yep, me too. I can cut them some slack but I'm not buying another rope until this one is mended.

Re: help with audio files (dis)organization
fantastic, so simple... that little check box has escaped me for years. thanks! but does the newly created project know to use the "new" files or does it keep grabbing them from the old location? ok I'll just check and see. thanks a lot. It uses the new location. A new Project folder with...

Re: False Clipping Indicators
Thanks. In my case, I don't use cuemix. I don't have any MOTU interfaces. These are just false clipping indicators that show up out of nowhere. For instance, I can play the song fifty times with no peaks and then on the next pass peaks will start showing up in a couple of tracks and the master. Plug...

False Clipping Indicators
This problem just came up again, so I thought I'd mention it because it was a real head-scratcher the first time it happened to me. I hardly ever shut my Mac down, and after I have DP open for a long period of time (days or weeks), it starts showing false clipping indicators. Quitting DP and relaunc...

Re: Ozone 6
I am interested in trying it on a problem stereo track with some really nasty finger squeaks in one section that have eluded my other tools. I am hoping that the Dynamic Equalizer can help. If so, it's worth the upgrade price to me. If not, I really didn't need it ... yet. I am also interested in s...
