Re: Am I doing something wrong????
You're zoomed way in on the sample level, right? Is it possible that you can have a sample before or a sample after your barline, but there's no sample right at that barline?

Re: Crash in Quicksribe - DP 7.21
There was a recent font problem in 10.6.7, and people using notation programs like Finale and Sibelius had huge problems. That could be it.
Have you installed the Snow Leopard font update from Apple? If not, it should be available in Software Update.
Hope you get it sorted!

Are all of the plugins you're using compatible with 4.61?

Re: Sidechain one band of a multiband comp
Yep, Izotope Alloy can do it, although I've never had occasion to use it.I seem to recall seeing a multiband compressor with separate side chain inputs a while back and thinking that's cool, I could use that. Then I looked at the price
Hope you find the solution!

Re: OMF/FCP import/export mess
Doing the OMF export from FCP is a pretty simple process, so I would be surprised if he is missing a step. He may just have a lot of garbage in the timeline. Is it possible that the "handles" (300+ frames is like 10 seconds on either side, of course) he provided just made for some junk wit...

Re: DP Plugin Issues
Digital fishphones stopped working for me on my G5 when I updated to Leopard from Tiger, so that's what is causing that. Also lost Wizooverb that way. Like others said, make sure your other plugs are compatible with Leopard and up to date. Which MOTU stock plugs are not loading for you? There are a ...

Re: Disable AU's in Garage Band?
So you don't need these plugins to be available anywhere, GB or DP? If that's the case, just go to the components folder and delete them, or create another folder on the same level as components called "components disabled" and move them. More than likely, the plugins in the root component...

Re: My First Short.
A little oddly absurdist to have made pasta and eaten pizza, I thought. Left me scratching my head instead of laughing. The doing dishes with beards was a good bit, though! I think it probably would have been better to have more of the crazy sounds in the room itself, but I can tell from the last li...

I've also seen this:
http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Cropmark/8337/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I have no idea if/how well it works with DP. If it does, you could still use your Mac kb, though.
good luck!

Re: Is My Hard Drive Dying?
Hi again, and thanks for the replies! FMiguelez, they were some time of volume mismatch, where it is so many files, but it thinks it's fewer, or something. Both times I verified again right after the disk repair, and the analysis came up with no problems after repair. kgdrum, bdr, I totally get what...

Is My Hard Drive Dying?
Hi everyone, I recently bought a used Mac Pro, with a 1 TB Western Digital HD as the start-up disk. Twice now, in the last two weeks, the computer has crashed when doing fairly normal things (like browsing the internet). After reboot, I verified the disk both times, and it came up with errors, so I ...

Re: Better to Partition Drive?
From everything I've read both on this board and elsewhere, you are not going to get any performance improvement from partitioning the drive. So if it were me, I wouldn't do it. Enjoy your new machine! I just got a new (to me) Mac Pro a couple of weeks ago, when my G5 tower died (RIP, PPC). :) Good ...

Re: Field Recording
I guess it depends on the environment you're recording in. It's not really practical if you need to run on battery power all day, for me anyway. And depending on the room, the laptop may contribute more noise in the room than you want. Now I haven't worked with the latest MacBooks, so both of these ...

Re: Does Soundcloud work at all in Snow Leopard?
Working over here. I'm on 10.6.7, Firefox 4.0.
FYI, I saw a Soundcloud app in the App store - don't know if that could help you.
Good luck!
