Re: Roland JV1080 sounds for Kontakt etc?

I think I may have to add Omnipshere to my rig before the year is out. Looks like an absolute monster. Yeah it really is! When it first came out I saw Eric Pershing give a demo of it and my jaw dropped. I think that I could spend the rest of my life programming sounds for that beast and still not t...

Re: Roland JV1080 sounds for Kontakt etc?

Yeah, it is surprising that Roland hasn't offered up that library as a softsynth sampled set like Korg did with the Korg Legacy collection. And I have Omnisphere and love it, but sometimes I just need that basic Warm Pad or some of those cool ethnic sounds (like Prayer Bowls and Jungle Pipe) from th...

Re: Roland JV1080 sounds for Kontakt etc?

Thanks guys- that's what I was afraid of. Too bad I sold off my 1080 years ago. Maybe I should try to find a used one and spend a bit of time sampling a bunch of my fav patches. Yikes, that would be a project!! :)

Roland JV1080 sounds for Kontakt etc?

Hi y'all! I know this is probably in the wrong forum but I've been missing several of my old favorite JV1080 patches in recent months and I was wondering if any company (or even Roland) ever put out a sound set of either wav/aiff files of the sounds of the JV1080 or a programmed bank for Kontakt or ...

Re: Eventide H3000 Plug-in

I just had to pick it up- I always wanted a H3000 but could never afford the real deal- this was a bargain at $179 (from audiodeluxe.com) and it's a lot of fun- tons of kooky presets to use as starting blocks!

Re: Hey LA area DP users... Oct 30 MOTU event!

That sounds great except I'll be coming from a rehearsal at UCLA right before the MOTU event, but I'll see ya there! Yeah, doing a big project for RK right now.

Re: DP 8 and Bidule

Red1- please let us know any special "tricks" you had to do to get Bidule to run 32 bit with DP8 64 bit. Did you use the latest Rewire version? Are you using the latest version of Bidule or an earlier 32 bit version?
Thanks and glad to hear you got it running!

Re: DP 8 and Bidule

Ahh, ok! That seems like a good way to go! I think I'll try that- running 64 bit VIs and plugs in DP8 and 32 in VEP5. Thanks for that info.

Re: DP 8 and Bidule

Frank, so are you running DP8 64 bit and running the VEP5 32 bit server as well as a 64 bit VEP5 server so you can run both 32 & 64 plugs simultaneously, or just running 32 bit plugs exclusively with DP8 in 64 bit mode? I'm just trying to grok if you can run BOTH 32 bit and 64 bit plugs at the s...

Re: DP 8 and Bidule

But if I have to use soundflower to shuttle audio between, then I'll pass. No, I don't use Soundflower- just have Rewire set up as others have mentioned in this post, and then open your template of multiple VIs in Bidule and have the related channels in DP go thru Rewire to get back & forth wit...
