Re: DP 6 and Mac G5

My old G5 is still delivering the goods. It may be a little light in RAM, but it rarely chokes on anything in DP6.02. I'm not changing anything until I have to.

Re: DP6.01 GUI NEW! Take a look... DarkMod 4.0!!

After a week or so with DarkMod 4.0, I'm finding it difficult to locate the playback wiper because it blends so subtly with the background. Is there an easy way to make it brighter? Or maybe make its head (on the timeline) a more distinctive color?

Re: DP6.01 GUI NEW! Take a look... DarkMod 4.0!!

Good job, iPerformer, after making several backups of DP6.01 I accomplished your installation. No problems so far, and I must say the monitor is a lot easier on my eyes now.

So what happens when DP 6.02 comes out?

Re: how to record crazy metal vocals without clipping?

Hey, that's an Ajax mic, the hypothetically perfect audio manufacturing company of the 1970s. No distortion. Their mysterious disappearance from the audio industry is perplexing.

That doesn't work either. And this is getting way off topic. I'm sorry.

It's always been a problem, those screamers. This, from Recording Engineer/Producer magazine, 1971.

Re: Switching between Audiodesk and DP

hi nick i've been working with some friends who do their tracking with audiodesk and then bring the files to me on cd. i copy them to my hard drive and then open them directly in dp 6.01, then save them as dp files. that part works perfectly. i have no idea if it'll work going the other way though, ...

Re: NS-10M Crossover Rebuild?

you're looking at three capacitors and two inductors, jeff. no resistors are depicted in the schematic. but it is an easy build.

Actually carrythebanner said, "Always opens the edit window's Track Selector" in the Edit Windows preference. Then the Track Selector window will appear just to the left of the Sequence Editor window.

+1 for the yohng W1 limiter. it's very simple, with a bare bones gui, and it's very clean and effective. i use it almost by habit.

and it's free!
