Re: Destructive MIDI recording only for modwheel
Easiest solution is to create a second track for just the mod wheel, and leave it in destructive mode. If you like you can see both overlaid in the Graphics editing window, so it'll look like they're all in the same track. Or simply use your undo history to delete the prior take you're unhappy with ...

Slate has discounts on everything - both the audio stuff http://www.slatedigital.com/online-shop and the SSD drum stuff http://www.stevenslatedrums.com If you don't have them, VCC and VTM for a combined $200 is a must-have in my book. Don't even think of mixing without them… :D :D :D :D :D :smash: :...

Re: Options for Fixing the Aftermath of recording with LATEN
Orchestras are never in time. They don't need to be, that music is about something else. Ditto btw for intonation. Orchestras are all over the place. Same for grand pianos, their strings are detuned on purpose, they phase constantly by design, the washy mess is what they are about. Aren't you sayin...

Re: Deleting All Unused Bites??
Personally, with disk space being as cheap as it is and with everything being searchable, I *never* use this command. There have been numerous occasions, where, months later, I think of alternate takes or other unused elements from long completed projects that I want to reuse, or even just refer to....

Re: Open up project, press play...pop...no sound
Sounds to me still to be one of the two removed plugs - or both. When this happened to me it was erratic, but ultimately could only be fixed with an update of the offending plug. Which plug-ins are we talking about in your case? For now, try to get them to work briefly, like you did, then immediatel...

Re: Open up project, press play...pop...no sound
On second thought, I'm thinking it was a VI for me, not an audio processing plug. But don't fully remember.
Keep us posted! Good luck!

Re: Open up project, press play...pop...no sound
Whenever that happened to me (very rarely) it was a problem with a particular plug-in. I've had to remove whatever plug-in caused it and download an update for it (or revert to a prior version of it.) Can't remember which plug-in caused this for me, but that would be my first guess. If this doesn't ...

Re: Scattered Entity Vol. 1 for MachFive 3 released on patch
Holee crap, just played around with a few patches. Had high hopes for this library because of the demos released over the past few weeks and, well, it's Simon, so I knew this was going to be good. (Have you heard his Alchemy and Iris patches…?) But this is even better than I thought. Part of me want...

All kidding aside, chunks *is* one of DP's most powerful features - and nobody else has it.

Re: Stockhausen aka PatchPool sounds for Mach5
Downloaded, plus downloaded M5v3.2 and its assorted updated libraries. Phew!
Now on to installing. Looking forward to using this in a new project!
(Unfortunately have a week of mixing the old one coming up first…)

Re: iZotope Iris -- new VI synth (sample based, w/ a catch)
I love it, use it quite a bit. Simon Stockhausen has a bunch of amazing patches for it, and it is very playable and fluidly malleable when programmed right (which Simon of course always does…) I haven't really built anything from scratch for it, but I find it very easy to customize patches that are ...
