Re: Suggestions for MOTU webinars (topics, formats, etc.)
They have (video) "Coming Soon" on the Web Did anyone catch today's, Apr 28 webinar? I came in the middle of a user describing how they were able to create a bus to include CPU heavy effects in the Pre-gen scheme (Auxs are not included normally). Did anyone else catch that? I didn't hear ...

Re: How to make clippings
So, this works......really well :) If I operate from a single template, the inputs and outputs from a clipping do not become italicized. Yikes! This is huge! I was just about to try this same approach. I've been testing using Cmd/CTRL dragging project files in the same folder to make copies (I supp...

Re: How to make clippings
I found out why my clippings were suddenly not working and their icon had changed from being a quarter-note to being a white file icon instead. I had alt-clicked the name and changed it. Doing so lopped off the file extension. Perhaps a Mac operating system has the extension or filetype embedded in ...

Re: How to make clippings
I think I should include this caveat (this is updated after the fact of the "AHAH! Moment" posts following this one): This procedure works best with several copies of a project that exist sharing the same project folder. Trying to use this technique with new projects in a different project...

Re: How to make clippings
Thanks Terry, for the response. Would you be able to try something simple just to see how it works on Windows/ DP10? - With a brand new DP project, create a new audio track. - Select this track including one bar in the sequence (this can be empty of any soundbites/ data as per the previous response...

Re: How to make clippings
Creating and adding folders of tracks (MIDI, Aux, Instrument, & Audio) is the ultimate way to go with clippings, I've found. Interesting. You're talking about DP tracks folders here right? Not OS folders. Just want to make sure! What I found is that the the folders don't get saved with the clip...

Re: How to make clippings
Bundles is a whole other subject. When importing a new one I had exported earlier, I always make certain to select all and delete the present bundles first, then the import doesn't try to "merge" with the present ones. (Import does not "write over" existing entries with the same ...

Re: V-Racks, Aux Tracks, Pre-Gen, Clippings, VEP vs Local
Terry, Forgive me if this is an obvious question, but when you say VRacks cannot receive automation data, does that include MIDI cc data? So an instance of Kontakt in a VRack could not respond to cc 11 automation for example? Thank you. George It's definitely not very obvious! No, to clarify, MIDI ...

Re: Voicemeeter and DP9.12
Here is a video showing what settings I am describing in Voicemeeter. I am using a "loopback" cable to connect an unused output/input pair back to the input so that I can utilize a hardware output as an input to Voicemeeter (I currently use an ADAT output/input, but used to use the S/PDIF ...

Re: DP with Voicemeeter
I've seen some posts on here about using DP with Voicemeeter. I'm trying do some screen recordings and this is supposedly the best way to capture the audio. I've tried setting my ASIO driver to the Voicemeeter Virtual ASIO, but when the signal reaches Voicemeeter it reads as 391 db and I just get r...

Re: Voicemeeter and DP9.12
Can anyone confirm if Voicemeeter works with DP9 as an ASIO driver and if so, can anyone suggest why DP9 might be driving Voicemeeter to +273 dB hence a very loud white noise/static sound. Voicemeeter works fine as an output for Kontakt or Cubase 9 so I know the set-up is okay. DP9 works with my au...

Re: Korg has upgraded the Legacy Wavestation / M1 ...
Just to clarify what was a little murky for me, simply installing the KORG PASS application and logging in with my new Korg ID gave me downloads for all the 2.x upgrades and registered them using the new system.
