Re: DP 9.13 available
I've done so much system maintenance for so many people over the years, I have developed a little routine whenever doing full reinstalls of anything. 1. Create a folder (desktop or wherever) called "*App name* old system files" 2. Create 6 subfolders "System App Support", "S...

Re: DP 9.13 available
Well whaddya know. I did the complete reinstall again for 9.13 (got rid of all MOTU system files) and all the issues I was having from 9.1-9.12 are gone. No more audio dropouts when editing audio, and the pitch editor responds normally to mouse clicks again. I am happy. And WHOOOOOOA there's no drop...

Re: DP 9.13 available
Pro Tools does and DP did before 9.1.James Steele wrote:Have you tried 9.13 yet? I guess I'm weird. I've never expected any DAW to just play along happily without any dropouts while I'm editing audio in the currently playing sequence.

Re: DP 9.13 available
All I know is I tried a complete clean re-install of DP 9.12 to see if the audio dropouts while making edits was a problem with old system files. The issue still happened, even with newly created projects. This is a complete deal breaker for me, and I wish I could understand why it's happening. I ca...

Re: DP 9.13 available
Does audio still drop out every time you do any kind of edit to an audio track? Cutting, pasting, moving, pitch editing? If so, it's useless to me.

Re: Time to update... or leave it alone?
Stay with 9.02 till they get the kinks worked out with the new Pre-Gen engine. It's caused a lot of audio dropout issues while editing.

Re: Clip Gain like in ProTools?
If you change the Bite Gain in the Event Info bar, the waveform should indeed reflect the change. Not sure what's happening there. I'm doing in right now in my session and the waveform grows and shrinks accordingly.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/uhhd195omrxhbt4/Screenshot%202017-03-25%2018.30.48.png?raw=1 It's visible in the Event section of the Information Bar (if you have that enabled). I turn off the Tempo part of that section so all I see is the Bite Gain at the end. It is not quite as convenient as the Pro To...

Re: DP9 issues?
For me, the several times I tried the 9.12 upgrade were disastrous. The changes to the pre-gen engine completely screwed up the ability to edit audio during playback. Audio drops out every time you do any little thing. I would try to BTD and get unbelievable amounts of garbage in the bounce. It gene...

I still haven't left 9.02 because of the mess that 9.1 became.

Re: AmpGUI DP Themes (now at AMPGUIMODS.NET)
Successfulness is not my problem, unfortunately. The task of redesigning every theme I have and have all new versions work correctly with Retina screens is just too much time to invest. I'm going to have announce the end of development for AmpGUImods. The financial return just doesn't justify it any...

Re: Back to 9.02
If you can't run 9.12, then your Mac is screwed up. Frankly, the amount of mistaken abuse that gets heaped on MOTU on this forum ("my computer got all screwed up with freebies and third party I/O drivers and dumb hacks for making ancient plug-ins run, and now DP doesn't work right and IT'S THE...

Re: Back to 9.02
I'm now having and issue where the trackpad can easily make moves in DP's pitch editing, but mouse clicks are treated as though they just didn't happen. Weird. Scratch that... what's happening with the mouse is it's selecting the pitch line when clicking and not the pitch box. Hmmmm. Wonder what tha...
