Haha, great!
Me and my (former) studio partner both got started using ADATs... We used to joke that they, like most old stuff would be trendy again, and people would be wanting that late 80s/early 90s ADAT sound again. I think I see the beginning of that here!

Re: New Imac Advice
If you are not in a hurry, I'd suggest waiting a bit, Apple should be releasing new iMacs sooner rather than later (some expected them to be introduced along with the new MacBook Pros).

Re: MOTU Firewire and OS 10.12 Sierra
So far my 828mk3 is working fine in Sierra. It goes via a FW400 cable to a FW400 to FW800 adapter and then into a FW800 to Thunderbolt adapter then into my MacBook Pro... ;) UPDATE: after installing the Nov 1st Audio Drivers my MBP now crashes on sleep... Was working fine with the earlier drivers...

Re: Komplete 11!!!
Hmmm, I own Komplete 5 and am eligible to upgrade! Still not sure if it's worth it though ;) I tend to be always disappointed by NI products and end up not using them much. Would be good to have Kontakt again in a current version, other than that, the few things I'm interested in are in the Ultimate...

Re: MOTU @ NAMM?
I actually switched to Logic for song writing because Logic worked so much better than DP with the VIs I own. I still haven't updated to DP9 as I mostly do video these days and not much music. The claim that the update will make DP9 the most efficient DAW in regards to VIs is a very bold and very in...

Re: How to upgrade Mac OS to Yosemite (not El Capitan)
Unless you have a specific plug-in that doesn't work in El Capitan I see no reason to go for Yosemite instead of El Cap. All plug-ins that work in Yosemite will also work in El Cap (with a few exceptions, but that has for the most part been fixed now as well).

Re: 10.11.1 is out
Anyone using Izotope RX4? Does it work in 10.11.1?
Heard some reports that it still has issues in FCPX (where I really need it, but would be nice also in DP and Logic)

Re: 828 (original) compatibility with Mavericks/Thunderbolt?
Last I used mine it worked fine! Think that was on Yosemite... That damn thing just keeps working... I've been dragging it around at after parties (we used it originally to record live bands at a regular event every week) in a plastic bag, I smashed the ADAT out connector so it now scrambles around ...

Re: DP9 worth getting or wait for DP10?
DP9 will be the first version I won't be upgrading to (got on board at 2.72). Mainly because I'm mostly doing video these days and don't have a studio anymore. But also because the kind of features that were included in DP9 was the stuff I expected in a free 8.1 update because version 8 didn't bring...

Re: DP9 now shipping.
Has DP9 shown in anybody's registered products in their account yet? According to an email I got from Magic Dave he said to check back in 24 hours. But you know sometimes things work out faster than expected. Looking now, my DP8 update was never added to "My Registrations"! Which I got fr...

My biggest question: Is DP9 retina display resolution?
EDIT: found the video on YouTube and it clearly said Retina Display Support
