Re: Accoustic bass VI
Lowdown 2 is a little off the beaten path like most of the Modwheel products but imo they are one of the most interesting developers out there. While not a traditional upright bass have you checked out Sound Dust Cloud Bass? It's really cool! For me whenever Pendle aka Sound Dust or Modwheel have a ...

Re: Thinking of getting Absynth 5...
Absynth is a great synth,a classic in the softsynth world but as Cuttime mentioned it's been around as is for quite awhile, many users are begging for it to be updated. Unless you're using Logic as your DAW imo as great as Alchemy is,it's not worth the the hoops you'd need to jump through to work wit...

Re: Wanting a solid control surface for DP 9.5
This controller stuff is a bit over my head.
Am I assuming correctly that you can control cc's for vi's with any of these controllers easily?
Do you need dedicated controller software to make assignments?
I'm thinking about Kontakt based Orch VI's like Spitfire Chamber Strings etc.....
Thanks

Re: Samplemodeling/SWAM WTH??
I don't have any of these products but this was posted @ VI-Control earlier......... I hope this brings some clarity to the situation. (look at the 5th post, which includes a video explaining how to register and manage your keys.) https://vi-control.net/community/threads/instruments-formerly-sold-by-...

Re: Xeon X5680s Now Under $80
Hi James,
I'm sorry to hear about your problems with this......
This might be a dumb question but have you tried booting with 1 chip(I don't know if the MP will boot with only 1 chip) but it might be worth a try just in case to see if 1 chip is still good......

Re: Xeon X5680s Now Under $80
@ Bob K it's a pain in the ass but I think if you go into an Apple Store(with a thumb drive) and explain this to someone at the Genius Bar, they will have access to any OS.

Re: Xeon X5680s Now Under $80
It seems like something might have changed with availability of previous OS from Apple. I downloaded and installed Sierra on my Macbook Pro last month on the premise that it would show as "purchased" in my Apple account so I could install at a later date on my Mac Pro( I want to install a ...

Hi FM,
I'm glad you and yours are OK, this is very scary!
The power of these natural disasters whether it's an earthquake or a hurricane reminds us how precarious something like survival can be,stay safe.

Re: Reverb suggestions
One of my favorite reverbs is Seventh Heaven Pro from Liquidsonics,it uses Bricasti M7 impulses and sounds amazing! It's on the expensive side but Liquidsonics seem to have sales around Black Friday or the Holidays. The non-Pro version of Seventh Heaven which is also really nice often goes on sale f...
