Tale of 3 Backups

Hello, This is a short synopsis of what happened over the course of a few years. My secondary backup drive went belly up, and since this was the 5th or 6th external drive I had lost, I decided my secondary backup would be online. So, I did a backup of all my DP projects to the cloud using CrashPlan....

Re: Is bouncing individual tracks "all at once" possible yet

Thanks, everyone, for your advice and workarounds. Much appreciated. I will try them all and see which one(s) fit my needs. I already do a version of some of these. I was hoping MOTU would add "Track Bounce" like PT has. Very handy. I think Logic has similar with File > Export > All Tracks...

Is bouncing individual tracks "all at once" possible yet?

Hi. I want to bounce individual tracks all at once. Is this possible? It doesn't seem to be. To be clear, if I select 32 tracks, I want 32 separate files with plugins and automation with one bounce.

Maybe freeze? Not sure.

Thanks!

I'm pleased you found DropVox useful. I know I sure do, and so do my clients. I liked your clear and simple explanation of how it works and its advantages.

Re: Avatar conundrum

Okay, I apologize for the OT, but all this talk about Dropbox makes me want to tell you guys about DropVox, which is one of the coolest, handiest, simplest, most-used apps I have on my iPhone. I also use the Mac version which is in public beta. Here's a link for information. iOS: http://www.irradiat...

Re: This is a Simple one for you smart people, " Apply Plug-

I guess I shouln't stay away from DP too long, or I'll forget what I know. LOL I dunno if using it helps much. I use it almost every day, and I forget more each day than I remember ever knowing. Not sure that makes any sense, but I'm always having to look in the manual for basic stuff. Complicated ...

Re: I'm having trouble importing audio files

Interesting, Dan. I'd expect them to either work, or not work (regarding the permissions thing). But for them to just take longer...haven't seen that one before. Yeah, it's strange and I don't understand it either, but I'm relieved there was a simple solution because it was keeping me from getting ...

Re: Recording Audio

I still think there should be some sort of unobtrusive visible flag to let people know what they have filtered out.

Re: I'm having trouble importing audio files

These are files I've recorded on the road or at the house on the MBP, I then copied them to Dropbox. At the studio, I move them to an audio drive and then import them into their various projects. I've never had any trouble doing this before. I just found and fixed the problem, but I don't know exact...

I'm having trouble importing audio files [Solved]

I'm just checking before I do a clean install of DP. Is anyone else having trouble importing audio files with DP 8.06 or 8.07 and Yosemite 10.10.1? It's now taking up to five minutes to import a 3-minute file. This happens whether I drag it in or use the menus. I checked the preferences and they're ...

Re: The "Low Battery" notification is quite irritating!

My experience is different: I can work for about five days to a week after the the low battery warning first appears. So yeah, it does bother me that the warning pops up so often. Maybe it will be different now that I'm running Yosemite.

Re: Font Sizes

If you have pretty good vision and you're doing a bunch of extra steps in order to see things comfortably in DP, then that should tell you that something can be improved in the design of the app. Listen, we're not insulting anyone's mother by saying this is an area that needs improvement. I really d...

Re: Cloud Storage for DP Projects

What I hoped Dropbox, or someone will do, is let me define existing folders and have those replicated in background to a remote server when there is activity in them. Maybe it has started doing this. I haven't followed up That's what Gobbler does. At least Gobbler 1 does. Gobbler 2 is a big questio...

Re: Font Sizes

Well, put me down as one who would like to see MOTU improve on the readability, useability and aesthetics of DP. It's a fine app now (no question), partly because users have helped make it that way through their feedback, but it can always be improved. Don't fall into this trap: Customer on phone to...
