Re: OK, you people who defend the MW Leveler...

I got a reply from someone at MOTU with a workaround: There is a way to do this. Wait for the plug-in to get into a warmed up state. While still playing back, click on the meter - this will bring up a menu. Choose Save Current T4 Cell Memory. This is now loaded into the plug-in's memory. In order f...

Re: My first probem with MW Leveler

Anyone know what the period of inactivity is before it goes to sleep? If it's more than a couple minutes, I could probably just have a bunch of tracks with material but muted, before every project actually begins. yeah, that's basically what I had to do. it doesn't really seem like it takes very lo...

Re: My first probem with MW Leveler

As far as I can tell, you can save response characteristics so Leveler will act the same (or close to the same) on the program material no matter how many times you run through it. However, none of these settings seem to solve the problem of it not kicking in right away after it's been inactive for...

Re: okay, okay, I get it!

I noticed that this thread has been edging its way off the radar, busie, so I just thought I'd thank you for sharing your experience. Thank you! Your comments, along with those of a few others here, have rekindled my anticipation of trying it out on individual instrument tracks; in my apparent igno...

Re: My first probem with MW Leveler

oh, and it IS a very annoying thing, to be sure. if you're like me though, and only have the Masterworks Limiter and the dynamics plugin that come with DP6, this thing is well worth the extra effort. still, I hope they fix that. anyone know what the whole t4 cell memory thing is for when you click o...

Re: My first probem with MW Leveler

do not give up. it is worth the extra effort, I promise you. just copy a section of your track (not silence), and paste it so you've got like 30 seconds or more of sound going into the Leveler immediately prior to the section that you want to compress. then set the automation for the track to have t...

okay, okay, I get it!

alright, being a poor musician guy, I never really understood why someone would willingly shell out 3 or 4 thousand dollars for a compressor (or any other outboard processor, for that matter). I upgraded to DP 6 last week, and immediately started working on recording some vocals for my band's projec...

Re: Suggestions for DP 6.0.3

something I'd LOVE to see, (and I'm not sure if someone else already mentioned this or not) would be for the track names on the mixer to be "locked" to the bottom of the window, so if you have your window set to less than full height, you could scroll up and still be able to see the track ...

Re: Pitch Glitch... please help

hey arsis, I've had the same problem myself, although I'm just running 5.11. I'll be upgrading to 6 today (assuming it arrives on time), so I hope they've fixed that in 6. it IS quite annoying.

DP 6 upgrade question - couldn't find answer using search...

so I've determined that upgrading to DP 6 from 5 is the cheapest way to get a quality reverb (aside from using the AU Matrix reverb which I already use a lot), but the problem is I'm working on recording 2 different albums and I can NOT afford to have any sort of problems opening files, etc. basical...

Re: Proverb for DP 5. xx

...or upgrade to DP6 for $300. Is it THAT much? If you're on DP5, I thought the upgrade is less than that... like $195 or something? I dunno, I haven't checked in awhile. I thought I remembered it being around $300. maybe I was looking at the competitive upgrade, though. still, though, $200 bones i...

Re: Proverb for DP 5. xx

I'm in a sort of catch-22 with this situation. I'm currently recording an album for my band, as well as a solo album, and I want to get a decent reverb plug by the time we reach the mixdown phase. of course, I'm on DP5, and apparently the highest quality options are to either buy Altiverb for $500, ...
