Clock options using Rosetta 800 w/DP4.6
I would like to connect my Apogee Rosetta 800 to my DAW via firewire for use with DP 4.6. I also have a MOTU 828 firewire interface. This gives me three options to sync my DAW to the Rosetta's clock. 1. Directly through Rosetta's firewire card. (This option uses significantly more CPU resources) 2. ...

Question about pluggin usage.
Forgive me, my ignorance is showing. But does anyone know if unused plugins use system resources. Would it be wise to remove plugins I never use from my plugins folder (on a Mac , OS10.4.3, DP 4.6.1)? If so, is there any way to remove Apple's plugins?

bit meter
Does anyone know of an inexpensive bit meter plugin that will work with DP 4.6? Spectrafoo has one in their package but I don't want to spend that kind of money for the whole bundle - all I need is the bit meter.
Thanks,
Phil

Re: Trashing Pref Files/Auto-Beat Detect keeps running
I've had the same problem. I was hoping the 4.6 update would fix it, but no luck. I contacted MOTU tech support and the guy there insisted I must have the preferences set wrong, but I've checked and re-checked. Just can't seem to turn off beat detection.
