Re: Tracks off? Has anyone else experienced stuck DP resourc
How many tracks are we talking about here? What kind of tracks? MIDI? Audio? How are your resources spread out over various hard disks and what kind of disks? Spinners? SSD? Are there plugins active on those tracks? Are they being bypassed? Shutting the track won't bypass plugins AFAIK. How many tr...

Tracks off? Has anyone else experienced stuck DP resources?
I have noticed for many years now, that DP does not seem to fully release resources from tracks in a sequence that are theoretically "off". Theoretically, shutting a track or aux channel OFF should FULLY release its resources. In my experience, this is not how DP operates. I would like to ...

Re: Is there a trick to Locating ALL audio files in ONE mane
Does anyone have some advise on getting DP to locate ALL audio in one maneuver? The most recent session file that got created as a save as, is fine. Bt the older session files, which have specialty purposes and need to be accessed still, ALL need to be shown where the new audio is. Thanks Hello. I ...

Re: Is there a trick to Locating ALL audio files in ONE mane
Dumb question maybe, 'Hipster, but if you reopen the project in its new location, surely DP would default to referencing the audio-file folder within the project one? Well, the file that was open when I started the save as did know where to point. But since I do not want double audio files, I erase...

Re: Is there a trick to Locating ALL audio files in ONE mane
Not sure how that applies to the question? I am asking for an efficient way to have DP locate it's audio in one maneuver after having switched audio folders around.MIDI Life Crisis wrote:I the SB window select is unused bites and delete.

Is there a trick to Locating ALL audio files in ONE maneuver
Well, DP 10.11 still suffers from a longstanding DP issue, that being, when a DP file gets too many edits in it, or has too many audio files, even if most of them are turned "off", the whole session files just gets plain sluggish, with edits being way slower than they used to be. It become...

Re: New Bugs in DP 1011 (current latest version)
Anyone else having issues with starting playback? At different times, DP will stutter or completely miss the first moments of audio when hitting play? Feels like a pre buffer issue to me.

Re: New Bugs in DP 1011 (current latest version)
     REALLY?? That alone would make me get DP10 right now and sing loudly with delight! So I take it you've put DP's mixing/automation new capabilities to severe tests with your mixes and you are happy about the result? Does it work equally well when snipping heav...

Re: New Bugs in DP 1011 (current latest version)
I'm so thankful Dp fixed its ramp automation bug. I can now paste automated sections around to my hearts content without creating unintended automation ramping. Well done MOTU!!! However...lol, There's a small bug. If I select a section with automation in it and drag it forward or backwards and let ...

Re: DP 10.11 update just popped up
Why does installing 10.1 always eliminate the MOTU plug-ins in 8.07? Because 10.1 has the plugins embedded in the application package, not in the audio plugins folder. If you want both to run properly you'll have to use separate volumes or partitions. Kind of a bummer that it can’t leave the old pl...

Re: DP Fine-Tune audio timing didn't MOTU make a file for t
Yes there was a file and I think a read-me document on one of the old DP installer disks, I think (installer disk?) There's no mystery here. There are two things going on with fine tuning. One is aligning audio record so an overdub lines up perfectly with recorded audio. The other is to adjust play...

DP Fine-Tune audio timing didn't MOTU make a file for this?
Didn't MOTU used to provide some sort of file and instructions on how to use to make fine-tune of audio timing more accurate? I have just learned that to get an accurate print of recorded audio, I need to nudge the fine-tune forward 1984 samples. Seems like a lot. I seem to recall MOTU used to have ...
