MOTU's MSI has been behaving pretty well on my lowly G4 Dual 800 running OSX 10.3.9 since I installed it's latest update. One caveat though - I wasn't able to get MSI to see it's instruments unless I installed them on my pgm drive partition, which of course takes away 8 gigs of space from it! I hope...

ASIO audio input into reason? Hammer/Peter tools
Has anyone heard about this company? www.petertools.com It looks to me that it's only for windows, damn! I had my wallet out and was about ready to order, would love it if i could route my DP4.6 audio tracks into Reason 3 and use it as an effects rack for DP. This would have opened up a whole new wo...

I think he's confusing Reason with Recycle as the 2 pgms are made by the same company. In my hunble opinion Recycle is a lot easier to use than DP's beat detection, although I should have another go at it again soon. I posted a thread a month ago about the problems I was having using BD with real, l...

ever have any of your gear stuck in a rack?
I have 2 pieces of rack mounted gear that are stuck in one of my studio racks - I can't move the screws for the life of me. These pieces have been there for years, think the screws holding them in might be rusted or something.... Anyone else ever have this problem? Is there a spray or liquid that mi...

Problems with beat detection and speeding up tracks
I really banged my head against the wall trying to get beat detection to work yesterday w/o success. I played around with my DP preferences but couldn't get the BD lines to show up on my drum tracks. They showed up on a perc loop in the piece, but not my drum tracks which are the tracks I was trying...

Any tips for speeding up audio tracks in DP?
I want to speed up a track with live drums, guitars, vocals, etc. Anyone have any luck doing this sort of thing in DP 4.6? About how many BPM's can you go before getting serious artifacts? Any other tips you might care to give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Fred

Has anyone heard the new MOTU ethnic instrument?
What do you think?
Is it worth $275?
How are the percussion sounds?
How are the reeds and horns?

Great or wacky, weird, and wonderful vocal fx
OK, so I've started singing again...... lot's of reasons for this, the 2 main ones being that it's cheaper and I tend to interprete my own songs better than others do most of the time. I've also recently found out that ones singing can improve with practice - hey, what a concept! :lol: :shock: :idea...

using Reason 3.0 w DP 4.6
How many of you here are Reason users? I would like to get a good discussion going about the 2 pgms. I would also love to be pointed to some good Reason sites First question - have any of you built your own combinator presets? 2nd question - what are some of your favorite Reason tricks or techniques...
