They are also able to sell MPC expansion packs...
anyway, VIP can be had for cheap if you keep an eye out for sales. They have a Plus version now that bundles all the AIR instruments into it, but the non-plus version can be had occasionally for cheap and its still pretty cool.

Re: MIDI playback timing sloppiness help
Hmm, that is strange. I can't think of any reason why there should be sloppiness but I am hearing more and more reports that lead me to wonder if this is an issue with the performance vs efficiency cores...which Mac are you using?

Re: Plugin Rack / Host
As far as VIP, from everything I've read online, it's abandonware. Supposedly updates are promised and it seems promising, but it's not getting maintained. its not really abandonare per say, they have been updating it a few times in the past year or two, but its not really something they are active...

Re: MIDI playback timing sloppiness help
Is the sloppiness feeding to software instruments or to external instruments?

Re: MIDI plug ins by other developers
Logics way might look "cleaner" but I prefer the way DP and Live do it, Logic's way is not only about looking cleaner. Logic's way also ensures sample accurate MIDI rendering, which cannot be done with DP, nor cubase either for that matter. When the MIDI out from a VSTi is routed around t...

Re: Articulation maps set-up
I am curious what you get with the VST3 automatic feature....that came from S1, can't remember what its called. Maybe someone could do that and then export the actual articulation map to use without VST3 and also in order to further modify it depending on what it does. I haven't gotten around to usi...

Re: Babylon waves, good or not so good?
I can't speak for whether the price is worth it to you or not, but what I can talk about is what it is exactly. It is a set of articulation manager presets. You can build these presets yourself, but it could be time consuming if you have a lot of libraries. If you're only using a few libraries, then...

Re: Articulation Maps Help?
you can definitely use the articulation manager. Turn off all the remotes for now to avoid confusion. Those remotes are designed to listen to your playing as you are recording a track and whenever it detects you are playing one of the defined remotes...instead of actually recording that particular M...

Run the test yourself. It’s way way more than audible. It’s patently a bug.
Logicpro also has some latency correction bugs, slightly different then this one.

Re: DP 11 makes me sound like I'm rushing the beat. :)
If DP worked properly it would be preferable to have the box checked. What this box means, as I understand it, is that when its checked, DP is supposed to consider when it received MIDI events during record...and taking into account current latency...it knows when you should have heard the metronome...

Re: DP 11 makes me sound like I'm rushing the beat. :)
This is a known issue. Please make sure to submit a bug report to MOTU as they continue to ignore it even though several of us have tried to work with MOTU to get it fixed. So one work around at least for now, is to use a small buffer AND ALSO, make sure to set the the following preference to OFF. H...

Re: DP 11.2 is OUT!!!
Are there any people using DP 11.02 successfully with 2010-12 Mac Pro Cheesegraters? runs fine on mine, but I am running Monterey..I have no idea if there are any problems running on older MacOS. MOTU did not fix any of the bugs I reported this year and there is not really anything new for me to ge...
