So here's my update: Mach 5 v2.02 is up and running- I must say, this looks really good and so far it seems a bit zippier (but that could be the computer). Battery 3 and Absynth 4 now work- I just had to go up a version. Stylus RMX v1.6.0 is up and running, although I had to redirect the program to ...

If you have any East West libs that ran on Kompakt, I would strongly urge you to get Kontakt as well. Otherwise those libs will sit useless on your IntelMac too. Mach5v2 can't read those libs. Cheers. -gabe Aha- so my idea that I could run my East West Gold Orch library samples in Mach5 v2 won't wo...

When going from a PPC to Intel structure I'd suggest you do a fresh install of all the apps. Otherwise you risk transferring apps that only have the PPC structure installed. would this be true of DP as well? I had DP 5.11 on my iMac G5 PPC and transferred it via firewire onto the MacPro- I then ope...

Thanks so much for the detailed reply Gabe- I did not know about Stylus RMX and will update that. I think you're right about the iLok thing with Altiverb and I'm hoping to get NI plugs going with newer versions. I'll report back later with how things are going. I'm glad to hear you're liking your in...

Altiverb-NI-Mach5 & MacPro Intel...help!
Okay... so it begins: I just got my new Mac Pro Quad (intel) with Tiger 10.4.10 and copied all my software via firwewire transfer from my good ol' iMac G5 (also 10.4.10 but not intel). Overall, so far, not too bad but a few issues are coming up and I'd really appreciate any light you wonderful peopl...

All MOTU needs to concentrate on is making what they have work 99.9999999999% of the time. It's already such an amazingly good DAW. Its concepts are unbeatable. Make it work without fail, and pare that code to the bone so that it is lightning fast, and people will flock to DP as they always have. W...

I have to kinda admit I agree with David. Time Machine will be great but Super Duper hasn't let me down yet. I also don't use widgets or spotlight or expose. The new finders stacks are kinda neat but it's not that big of a deal to me. My main excitement with Leopard was the possible promise of 64 bi...

I had an interesting conversation today. I went to my local Mac/MIDI Music shop in Los Angeles to purchase a new Mac Pro and the very informed salesperson/tech and I were talking about Leopard and he said to wait a few months to use Leopard if you're doing pro music work as there's still bugs to be ...

This is probably hard to check but how about firewire audio interface drivers and MIDI drivers for MIDI interfaces? I guess this may be hard to really check since DP is not working properly- which brings my next question: does Logic work in Leopard? I don't even have Logic but I'm curious to know if...
