Re: Steven Slate Drums 4 *was* completely useless in DP7
I don't know what happened, but I did get SSD4 to run in VEP Pro 5 outside of Pro Tools 10. I imported cymbals from the individual library to complete a kit. I made these adjustments in SSD settings: Drumkit Detail: Medium Resampling Quality: Normal Memory Guard mode: Off Disk Streaming: Big This is...

Re: Steven Slate Drums 4 *was* completely useless in DP7
I am using version 1.1. As far as streaming goes. these are small files. I stream an entire orchestra with my film template in Vienna Ensemble Pro 5 to Pro Tools 10 or even the same template in Logic 9. There is definitely a problem with memory allocation in my opinion. I also have some samples that...

Re: Steven Slate Drums 4 *was* completely useless in DP7
I have similar problems with SD4. Low memory messages, not loading crash cymbals or electronic kits. It does open work with Vienna Ensemble Pro 5 outside of Pro Tools , but has the same problem. The problem is duplicated in Pro Tools 10, Logic 9.1 as well as the Vienna Ensemble Pro 5. I have an 8 co...

MAS and DAE
I still have an 828 that I have connected for everything that I can't access when using PT. I had to put away the 2408 and a 1224 when I installed the PT rig on the G5. My question is this, with Logic I can use the 192 as a core audio device. The whole system will work as it does with Logic and my M...

Now Pro Tools
This is exactly where I find myself now. I just purchased a PT HD3 Accel system to help out on the bussing. I do a lot of Urban production on one hand and I do film and television scores as well. With the Urban production, I can easily do everything in PT having each output of my VIs already bussed ...

Bounce to disk?
My apology. In Logic, it isn't possible to export auxes to audio tracks simultaneously. If you know of a way to record to audio tracks from separate auxes in a single pass please let me know. For example, say I have an EXS24 instance with 10 outputs routed to auxes, a Kontakt 2 instance with 6 parts...

Maybe someday
I thought that it was too good to be true. Logic won't even let me run RTAS plugs under DAE. I was exited when I booted DP under DAE. I will have to settle for using the 192 PT interface as a native device in DP until I've tracked what I need then I can mix in PT. Have you had any luck using a PT HD...

DP versus Logic and Pro Tools "The Real Deal"
The bounce to disk in Logic works like evrything else. The problem is that Logic has no internal bussing. So if you have an EXS24 instance with multiple outputs on auxes, each aux has to be bounced separately. The "Export Selected Tracks to Audio Files" doesn't work on auxes. When you are ...

CME Controller
I have the 88 key version. It's a piece of crap. The hammer action in rough and uneven at times and the key travel is weird. I have owned a lot of controllers and this is the worst yet. Give me an old Yamaha KX88 anytime. Also the faders and knobs had to be reprogrammed when I would change their par...

DP 5.1 and PT HD 3 Accell
I just installed DP5.1 and am trying to use DAE as the engine. I do film scoring and use multi output instances of virtual intruments. In PT using Battery2 or Kontakt2 with multi outs is a snap. My RTAS plugs as well as all of the TDMs come up in DP using DAE mode with no problem. I can't seem to ge...

Logic, Pro Tools and DP
I started on DP, switched to Logic for for 5 years and also use PT HD Accell. I love the work flow in Logic, however, as a producer I am going back to DP with DAE. When tracking to audio multiple aux tracks from multi out instances of VIs, you have to bounce each aux individually. There is no intern...

424 and G5
Just got a dual 2.7 G5. I had to update my PCI-324 MOTU card to a new 424. I installed the newest driver and placed it in the #3 PCI slot after trying #2. I have this popping sound that is like a clock error. I can see it pulsing on output 3 that is not being used. I try setting the master clock on ...
