Is this also true with other touch sensitive control surfaces, i.e., Mackie Control & Radikal SAC-2K and SAC 2.2 models? I haven't seen this problem w/ SAC-2K. Just got an AlphaTrack but haven't had time to fully check it out. Yes, it's a problem with the SAC 2.2 - or at least *my* SAC 2.2 - an...

Re: Alphatrack Touch-Mode does not work

Touch mode does not work though....does it?? I've noticed the same problem with DP 4.61 and a SAC 2.2 - so I'm not sure if it's a problem with the Alphatrack but rather with DP. I've able to get the SAC to work fine with PT le but I've never been able to get touch to work on DP - does anyone have a...

VNC can be secured if you only allow connection via ssh.

Also, if you're running a wireless network make sure that WPA is turned on to keep outsiders off your network.

When developing the unit an error was made in regards the wiring protocol and a custom cable is therefore necessary to use the USB connection. No real drama as these cables are provided free of charge by Radikal and with one the USB connection is glitch free for pre-Intel machines. . Ahhh, thanks f...

What is this special USB cable? Is it different from a regular USB A to B cable?

Re: CHANGE AUDIO FORMAT FROM SOUND DESIGNER TO AIFF

HOW DO I CHANGE DP5 AUDIO FORMAT FROM SOUND DESIGNER TO AIFF OR WAVE? I USED TO HAVE A PROTOOLS RIG & NOW I DON'T NEED TO USE THAT FORMAT ANY MORE. First, STOP YELLING!!! SDII is the native format that DP uses. But if you want to export a soundbite you can do so a number of ways, either from th...

And after you upgrade to 4.6 you should up your RAM too - 256 really isn't enough to run DP. I'd go with at least a gig.

If the MW EQ doesn't work for you, don't forget the ParaEQ that comes with DP. I think it has a narrower bandwidth than the MW EQ has and you can type in the frequency you want instead of messing with a knob.

I'm not clear as to why AAC would be useful addition for DP - it seems like a distribution format. Also, since DP would have to expand the AAC files before playback it seems like that would add a lot of overhead. I would like to see the end SDII files. They drive me crazy every time I have to share ...
