Re: Rogue Amoeba's Loopback worth the price?
Am I the only one who uses the MOTU FW interface option in CueMix-File>Mix 1 Return Includes Computer Output? Totally reliable for me. Does Loopback do anything else? Does this work for recording audio playing in Safari to DP, and if so, can you explain the internal routing? I was trying to do this...

Re: Quickest way to transfer audio from iPhone 5 to Mac?
I transfer photos from my iPhone to my Mac via AirDrop, which is very fast and there's no limit to file size. I've never tried using it for transferring any other files, but it might work. That's exactly what I was hoping for! Except that my iphone5 is ancient and it doesn't support it. Perhaps thi...

Re: Time Machine has failed for me since end of October 2017
If you have the preference set to show TM in the menu bar and click on the TM icon, one of the options is "back up now".mhschmieder wrote: I cannot figure out how to force an immediate TM backup anymore; this used to be part of the interface design for the TM feature set.

Re: Download for Sierra 10.12. ?
...I noticed that your file was not zipped and appeared to be the same. Was the unzipped version accidentally uploaded, or does it automatically unzip when downloaded? Thanks. Like Mike said, I uploaded the zipped file he sent me. In fact, technically it's exactly the same as Mike uploaded it, beca...

Re: Download for Sierra 10.12. ?
The file I uploaded is already zipped. This is important for the installer to work on any Mac other than the one that downloads it (unzipping on your Mac gives you the proper permissions and privileges if you are logged in as Admin). That is the only difference. When I replaced the file you uploade...

Re: Download for Sierra 10.12. ?
I already have Sierra installed, but if I wanted to download the one on the App Store as an extra backup, at what point do you quit the installer? I downloaded it for the same purpose as you. When the download finished, the installer launched automatically, and I quit at the first window. Easy! Tha...

Re: Download for Sierra 10.12. ?
This probably won't be needed because James already uploaded the installer, but I thought it was interesting that Sierra is available from the App Store: From the MacInTouch forum: "If you're looking for Sierra in the App Store, it looks like this link is working, at least for the moment: https...

Re: Superior Drummer Crash Cymbals Get Cut Short
Is there more than one key that triggers the same cymbal, and if so, do they all trigger the same articulation? I was wondering if one of them triggers the choke articulation, while another might not.

Re: Replacement tweeter for old JBL 4410
Six years ago I replaced the foam rings around the tweeters in my JBL 4311 Studio Monitors and found the least expensive place to get them was directly from JBL, now owned by Harmon: http://www.jblproservice.com/parts.html I got two sets for $6.00, which was less than half the cost of one set from e...

Oldest Version Of DP That Works With Latest Mac OS?
The MOTU site shows the minimum requirements for various versions of DP, but is there a place that lists the latest version of a Mac OS that will work with an older version of DP? In other words, will DP5, 6 or 7 run on Yosemite or El Capitan, or do they stop working at some point with an OS prior t...

Re: New Thread: Are we ready for El Capitan?
Of course, now we are networking with our phones, iPads, and all our personal computers and who-knows-what devices, so maybe it's not as simple as it once was.... You've got that right. The sheep number of IP addresses is so staggering, the whole system is ready to collapse on itself any second. We...

Re: New Thread: Are we ready for El Capitan?
I, too have been having problems with Mail in Yosemite. I recently got a new Mac that had Yosemite installed. When setting up Mail, Yosemite automatically populated the settings for my one Time Warner email account as IMAP, which was a surprise because I wasn't aware that Time Warner offered anythin...
