Perhaps this has been covered but according to the specs. esata should be much better than firewire 800. Are people moving over to esata drives for recording? I've had no problems with firewire 800 so I don't know if I should follow the "if it ain't broke" axiom or not.

Is anybody actually using this card with DP successfully or is it just an audiophile and gaming toy ? I don't imagine you can set up the surround in performer to output to this card or I would have heard something about it on this list.

You can use multiple i/o's with DP by option clicking in the choose hardware window. I use mlan and 828mk2 but would like to add the spdif from my G5. I suspect that because its part of the mac internal audio that you can't combine it with an external device but I don't know for sure. Anybody?
