For what it's worth, I've been using DP for a couple of years (started with 4.0 and now on 4.61), and I've never had stuck notes or any MIDI problems of any kind. I've been using a Midisport 4x4 interface with 10.3.9.

Mach 5 / Drum Loops / BPM

Is there a way to determine BPM of loops within Mach 5? I can't figure out how to do this, so I've been freezing the Mach 5 track in Digital Performer, and then using DP to analyze the soundbite for tempo. But it would be great if Mach 5 could determine tempos on its own.

but sure hope that version 2 is a free upgrade, includes an awesome library, and does a better job of importing other formats (based upon what I've read). Actually the import function on the current version is quite good. I've built up a huge library from Kurzweil, EXS, and Akai samples. I am new a...

Not many! I have found the stock Mach 5 sounds ranging from totally useless ie: the acoustic drum kits ,a total waste of disc space,to somewhat usable. Not a very impressive collection of sounds as far as I"m concerned. I've been wanting to say that for some time.Though it doesn't make me feel...

I used various versions of Cakewalk for MIDI sequencing for more than a decade. Then, after some time off, I switched to a Mac, and DP, and started to explore digital recording for the first time. The good news is that DP is a mature product with a zillion features. The bad news is that DP is a matu...

But no vertical zoom in the track window, apparently.

In addition to parsing phrases based on gaps between note-on data, as is the case with the Tracks Overview Window, I would like to see an option for blocks that are simply measures, and/or other divisions relative to the current timeline which we can select. (n-seconds, etc) In fact, I'd like to se...

- Vertical zoom in the track window Do you know you can grab the bottom of the name section of a track ( you get a little hand) and close it by clicking and dragging vertically zooming the entire track? I must be misunderstanding you, because in the track view, I don't get a "little hand"...

My wishes are simple... - Vertical zoom in the track window - An option in the track window to paint the blocks of MIDI and audio data with the track color completely, as opposed to just a highlight - Ability to change MIDI input choice on a track while the song is playing - Option to automatically ...

Here's one I've learned the hard way a couple of times... If DP or any of my VIs start behaving oddly.... If the system starts to lag, take a long time to save, beachballs start occurring.... If anything doesn't quite seem like it should, then I save my work, close DP, reboot, and start again fresh....

I was having playback buffer overflow problems - In "Configure Studio Settings" I bumped the disk read/write size to 300K and the buffer size per voice to 900,000 samples. As I recall, the default settings were much smaller than this. This seems to have solved my problems.

Re: Arturia V-Synths Noise's???

I downloaded the CS80V demo and recall that many patches absolutely killed my CPU (1.25 gHz iMac G4). Unless you have a really fast computer, the click and pops are likely from CPU overload.

Re: Things I wish DP had list......

Vertical zoom in the track window.

Zoom/unzoom capability for AUs (Arturia's Minimoog V fills up the majority of my screen).

Allow a mouse scroll wheel to scroll up and down through an AU display (this works with Arturia's ARP 2600V in standalone mode but not when using the 2600 inside DP).
