MIDI CC control via mixing board
It seems like this should be simple to do... On a MIDI track, let's say I have an instrument where the reverb level can be set via a value of 0 - 127 using cc #91. I'd like to add a knob to the mixing board for all tracks assigned to that instrument that sets the value of cc #91. That way, when work...

Re: Knob/Button "pop up" labels in Mixer View
Thanks. Is this "feature" annoying, or what?
I've got DP 6 but haven't installed it yet. One of these days...

Knob/Button "pop up" labels in Mixer View
I am using DP 5.13 with OSX 10.5.5. If I let my cursor sit on the pan knob for a few seconds, for example, an off-white box pops up that says "pan knob". Once this happens, wherever I move my cursor in the mixer window I get these little pop-up labels for everything - "automation reco...

I use DP in my home keyboard studio to compose/record original music. My compositions are very eclectic with influences that include Elton John, William Orbit, Jethro Tull, Miles Davis, Dave Grusin, Thomas Dolby, and Juno Reactor. People often say that my music sounds like something they might hear ...

Gee... I'm really sorry for you. Personally I have actually INSTALLED it and I think it looks pretty good and prefer it to DP5. To each their own. Well perhaps I am being a bit judgmental about software I haven't even played with yet, but the posts here (and elsewhere) are scaring me off. Is there ...

OMG! is that what the new GUI looks like...? oh no. i got DP6 arriving in a day or 2. I've had DP6 sitting on a shelf (uninstalled) for several weeks now. From the looks of it, I may not ever install it. I am so disappointed. The screenshots I've seen look horrible. And the bugs.... I am regretting...

Who is MOTU, anyway?
Unless I can't find it, the MOTU website contains little to no information about the company. The "About MOTU" page has very little to share, except that it was founded in 1980 and is in Cambridge, Mass. Does anyone know who founded MOTU? Is that person (or persons) still there? I've given...

This is all rather depressing. I've been out of town for the better part of several weeks and just returned to find my copy of DP6 waiting for me. I plunked down my credit card simply upon learning that the new version had vertical zoom in the track window, something I've wanted for a long time. But...

Possible to set note limits on MIDI tracks?
Using one MIDI keyboard and several synth modules, I'd like to have several MIDI tracks enabled for recording, with each one assigned to a different instrument and/or channel. I know that this, by itself, is easy enough to do. However, I want to set note ranges for each track, so that (for example) ...

Basic help with fade-ins and fade-outs
This is maddening for me. I recorded a 90-minute audio tape into a stereo track in DP. I then copied about 20 different segments into 20 separate audio tracks, and renamed the tracks to keep track of the various segments. I simply want to create fade-ins and fade-outs of each segment and then assemb...
