Re: Plug-in Updates Sticky Topic

As far as I know Explorer is the first and only database app that can Spot to DP. Good on Sound Particles for bringing this basic functionality To DP finally. Nice! And it's FREE you say? Hmmmm... wonder how they can do that? I will definitely need to check it out! I think mainly it’s a loss leader...

Re: Plug-in Updates Sticky Topic

I don't think it "spots" per se. You can drag and drop to the timeline in DP Right. Drag and drop is how all databases work. The ability to Spot from the app directly to the Wiper position in a track in DP is the headline here. Spotting is how database apps have always worked with ProTool...

That looks cool. More for music than sound effects it looks like. Does it spot to DP?

Re: Plug-in Updates Sticky Topic

Sound Particles' free database search browser Explorer 2.2 now spots to DP! ...a first for sound databases as far as I know.

Re: iZotope RX 11 is out

Anyway, I just wanted to report that Music Rebalance has indeed been significantly improved. Here's a comparison between RX10 and RX11. I does indeed sound improved. iZotope Rx11 Vs Rx10 Stem Separation Tool - Music Rebalance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tG_3C9vpMIw&lc=Ugx3I91c4V36qLrb5FR4A...

Did you pay $100? I bought RX10 3 months ago and my price to upgrade to 11 seems to be the same as everyone else at $299 :(

Re: iZotope RX 11 is out

Also, Sonic State has an ongoing promo code deal with NI/iZotope that offers 10% off most NI and iZotope products. Is it okay to post that code here, James? Sure! Voucher: "sonic10" earns 10% off most NI and iZotope products and upgrades, even on top of whatever promo price they have, inc...

Re: iZotope RX 11 is out

I only updated to RX10 recently and I'm very happy with it. RX11 is going to have to offer something pretty spectacular for $299 to entice me to upgrade 3 months after I bought to the RX10 upgrade. There's a public demo later today that I'm going to try to check out https://lappg.com/2024/05/02/may-...

Re: DP Gripes, and things that have (almost) pushed me to Cubase

Another one is that my metronome won't sound when I record (or playback), despite having selected it (and output channel etc is correct). If Metronome is lit (blue), typically clicks will not sound. I have to deselect metronome, then re-select DURING recording/playback for it to finally sound the c...

Re: DP Gripes, and things that have (almost) pushed me to Cubase

I went ahead and downloaded this to test. It shortens notes randomly with all piano plugins here, EW, NI, IK, and Arturia which is a virtual instrument from what I know, It does not shorten any synthesizer plugin I throw at it. Side note, if you hold down the Sustain peddle it doesn't shorten the n...

Re: DP Gripes, and things that have (almost) pushed me to Cubase

Not sure what's going on, but I loaded several preset patches in Legato mode on both of them and nothing abnormal happened on my end. They all played as they should and none of them kept sustaining when they shouldn't have. Another DP mystery I guess. I can't get Nanosampler to exhibit the behavior...

Re: DP Gripes, and things that have (almost) pushed me to Cubase

Okay... FWIW I just found the "Legato" Mode button on Modulo and it still seemed to playback okay for me in DP 11.31. Not sure what accounts for that. Also I tried Legato mode in BassLine as well. No issues for me. Are you having this happen on your M1 or your Intel Mac? Using the default...

Re: DP Gripes, and things that have (almost) pushed me to Cubase

Just tried this with MOTU Bassline and Modulo. Those worked fine. So definitely seems like something affecting third party VIs that are in a non-native format (anything other than MAS) that requires the support bundles that act as a translator between MAS and other formats. massupport.png An intere...

Re: DP Gripes, and things that have (almost) pushed me to Cubase

Maybe someone could upload the test project demonstrating where that happens? And if we don't have the piano VI we can substitute one? I'd like to try this. Especially to see how it works fine at *specific* tempos. That's pretty interesting! I tried this on a few different VIs and they all did the ...
