Re: 1.3 MIDI driver question

Is there any good reason to install this for people who aren't having problems? The download page says "Improved MIDI timing and efficiency". Can anyone hear a difference? I'm wondering if this is just a bug fix for people that are having MIDI related issues.

MX4 on Audio input?

Anyone try using MX4 on other audio sources? Is it difficult to set up? What's the CPU hit like if you're just using the filters an not the oscilators? It's the only VI synth out there I've seen that can do this and the main reason I'm considering buying it.

Re: Am I Nuts?!? Can I run EWQLO Gold and DP on 1ghz?

Yes, that sounds sort of nuts to me. A 1ghz machine is woefully underpowered for anything but the most minimal VI work in DP (Logic would be a far better DAW for that machine, but that's a different thread). If you get the less cpu intensive 16bit Silver edition of EWQLO you may get some more use ou...

Well they did say Q1 2005, which we're still in for another week or so.

Re: DP - end of the line?

A message comes up saying the file was not saved, and would I like to try saving with a different name? - which doesn't work either. I just remebered. I got this message one time and it turned out to be an issue w the audio files themselves, which had been imported from another DAW and presumably s...

Re: DP - end of the line?

I'm not sure what the issue is. 4.52 and 10.3.8 are solid for me. "invisible menu item"? What menu are you referring to? Not being able to Save sounds like a permissions issue. More details please rikki. ...and I've never seen the Express manual, but if it's anything like the Logic Pro man...

Any way to copy zones?

I'm pretty sure it's not possible to copy key groups/zones within a Mach5 patch, but thought I'd see if someone had figured a way. Anyone? -thanks

Mach 5 v2

Apparently there's a new version on Mach5 at NAMM. Anyone know what it's all about? It's not impressing NAMM attendees apparently, or you'd think someone would have posted something. ...may be too early though.

Re: DP4.51 temporarily unresponsive after stopping recording

jackorythm. Don't know what your setup is, but 4.5 should be ok. It was the most stable version of DP I've ever run. I was among the first to receive it and and did not have a single crash (8-14 hour days!) and had nothing but improved latency issues.

Originally posted by studio dog: For what it's worth, I had this problem, the 30 sec. to 2 minute beach ball hang when I got 4.5. Re: DP4.51 temporarily unresponsive after stopping recording

I'm seeing the delay too. I'm wondering if it's bus related. Pascal Altena, do you have a very elaborate send/bus system in your files? Do you use a Master Bus as I do? - that's where all tracks are bussed to one Aux for recording (not to be confused w a Master Fader).

Re: HotKeys for switching takes on mult. tracks?

I'm pretty sure they do need to be play enabled to be switched via key command.
