Re: Tap Tempo from a MIDI Keyboard
Yes, it works fine with simple sequences of a few tracks. But with older project files, or long ones, it gets flaky. I've been using Tap Tempo a lot lately, and I haven't found what you mentioned. It works fine here (no need to adjust a previous tempo). Granted, it's just a piano solo track, but it ...

Re: Tap Tempo from a MIDI Keyboard
A little more research and testing with Tap Tempo from a MIDI Keyboard: I found a MotuNation thread with Shooshie and Magic Dave about Tap Tempo and, confirming what Shooshie says, with simple files using MIDI, it works fine. However, with larger sequences, it's very quirky. In addition, Tap Tempo (...

Tap Tempo from a MIDI Keyboard
I posted this on the DP FB forum and thought I'd do so here as well. Tap Tempo in DP : I’ve found a quirk that I don’t believe is covered in the manual. If someone very knowledgeable about DP could confirm this, I’d be grateful. The short version : Enter Tap Tempo only from Tempo Slider Mode in the ...

Re: Sustain Pedal: Change polarity with a custom console?
"Is there an editor for the unit where you can program the on and off values for the sustain connector? Maybe try reversing those. I have the old Roland pedal and checked it with my Arturia MiniLab. Reversing the on/off values appears to work (checked VI instance and visual controller lane).&qu...

Sustain Pedal: Change polarity with a custom console?
Hi, I have a Roland sustain pedal and am trying to use it with an Akai LPK25 Wireless MIDI keyboard. Problem is, the polarity is the opposite of what the Akai needs: the keys sustain when it is not pressed down and the keys shut off when it is pressed down. I've tried the trick of plugging/unpluggin...

MacBook Pro 2018 32 gigs: Enough Ram for orchestral template
Question for anyone composing orchestral-type music with a MacBook Pro. I'm running EW QL Platinum Plus and considering getting a MacBook Pro 15" with the i9 processor and 32 Gigs Ram Will this be enough to run a full orchestral template.

Re: Parallel Compression
Shooshie, Thanks for the tip on the Slate compressor.
Dan, what compressor do you use that does not - or rarely- creates a phase problem?

Parallel Compression
Anyone doing parallel compression here? What compressors are you using? I tried it with the Masterworks Limiter and got what I think were phasing problems. Any tips?

Re: MIDI Playback Randomly Stops During Playback
I tried turning on all event chasing, turning off all event chasing. It did not help. Playback is still not reliable. However, selecting the tracks I want to hear and pressing option-spacebar does play all the tracks properly. I would appreciate any other suggestions you, or anyone else, might have. R
