Good info, I could consider doing a direct connect from the Motif to the Mac, but I have another keyboard hanging on that MIDI interface so I would have to give that up as a sound source. It’s just slaved I don’t use it for input.

----now it's not doing it. I've got both reverb and delay sends assigned to auxes, (on 2 VIs, same FX sends) and I'm able to record MIDI through VIs with active FX sends at 512 buffer with no latency. So--I'll keep exploring and will keep the thread informed.

All in an effort to be more like Apple iOS. Like your iPhone and iPad. I use both extensively it have no desire for my Mac experience to emulate my iOS experience. I think Apple is just trying to create uniformity. Boo.
