Wish I had seen this thread before upgrading to 9.13 - same issue here.

Re: DP: Varispeed Pitch Shifting

It's actually showing how to do a pitch bend, like using a pitch wheel, on audio. Actually nothing to do with varispeed (which is all about changing the pitch AND time, like using a speed control on a tape machine) Cheers Stephen Using a pitch wheel has "nothing to do with varispeed"? Erm...

Re: MAS and 64 bits...

Interesting... Wonder if MOTU will update MAS to 64-bit or mothball it.

Isn't MAS a bit redundant these days - CoreAudio being what it is now?

For legacy MAS plugins, an AU wrapper could be developed (to maintain compatibility with old projects).

Anyway. Mach 5 V.3 looks nice...

Re: Time Stretching: What are you using?

Wouldn't it be cool if MOTU created an SDK for companies like iZotope, Bias, Sonic Solutions, etc, in which they could package their algorithms (for DP), that then could be purchased and installed by the user - ala Radius...?

Just dreamin'... :D

Re: Accessing Logic 9 sounds from DP?

Given the choice, running DP in tandem with Mainstage as a host for Logic's instruments is better than having DP and Logic going at the same time...

Re: Does dithering quality defeat the advantage of 32-bit mo

Good topic. For all new projects (at least since upgrading to DP7.xx), I am going to work with 32-bit fp audio files from now on, and with the infamous Audio Menu - "Dither" option left off. I have two main reasons: one has to do primarily with MAS and the other with DP's own audio handlin...

Re: Novation Automap pro 3.7 crashing DP7.22

Here are a couple of standard DP troubleshooting steps: 1) Go to Preferences and disable all Automatic Conversions (I deselect the "Enable Automatic Conversions for this project" button and I set everything to "Never"): http://lh5.ggpht.com/_6Gpt-Dzx25c/TTr8xnCwCwI/AAAAAAAAAY4/dk...

Re: NAMM report

Garageband, to its credit, comes with a righteous collection of sample-instruments out of the box, and practically for free... I see an easy solution to this. MOTU needs to develop a market dominating music player as well as smart phone to subsidize their software. Easy! :D Naw, just accept that th...

Re: more questions?

There is no MIDI equivalent to Soundbite, because DP doesn't recognize MIDI events in any kind of grouping. They're not stored in external files. Every MIDI event is its own thing and has no relation to any other. This is different from Pro Tools, which has "MIDI regions". On the timeline...

Re: NAMM report

I love DP. That said, DP is the only DAW anymore that doesn't come bundled with even a half way decent piano !!! Garageband, to its credit, comes with a righteous collection of sample-instruments out of the box, and practically for free... While I'm not complaining about this, as a paying user of DP...
