Re: Which Kontakt driven libraries need Kontakt 5 now to wor

Soniccouture's NEW konkrete, not the old libraries.

Evolve (if you purchased it from NI once they bought it, not earlier)

Evolve Mutations 1 and 2 (if you have recently downloaded them)

Damage

Those are all I know so far.

Re: DP: Using a clap track for sequence tempo

Hey buzz. I think there is something that allwos you to choose what your tap interval was. I forget at the moment and I don't have dp on this laptop. As far as punching in and merging, you can definitely do that. I even cut up the slices, moved them to where i wanted them, and then merged it for som...

I know I should probalby be posting this on the Apple Forums

I don't really like it there as much, so i wanted to run this first. In Finder (i happen to be using path finder, but finder behaves the same way), if Folder A contains Folder B, and I modify B yesterday, shouldn't the Date Modified of A change because its contents changed? Basically, i make changes...

Anyone using FabFilter Pro C?

Really love their plugins and sort of in the market for a new thing. Few years old, sound quality still holding up to some of other companies newer offerings? Thanks!

Re: NI Driver Free! until 12/31

Their freebies are usually pretty nice around the holidays. I actually loved Skanner so much, I purchased the full version when it came out, and is now a staple in my sound design stuff.

Re: 2 track Editors, Really Loving and Hating Triumph

I should modify that and not say there are not a lot of contenders. There are. As a sketchpad, and something that saves and previews non-destructively, I think it is much more limited. I don't have a sub, so I'd love to hear what he has to say. I use sound studio to make quick fades and normalizatio...

2 track Editors, Really Loving and Hating Triumph

I've been using triumph by audio file engineering for about two months now or whenever it came out. I hate the idea that most track editors are destructive. There are times when I just want to try a bunch of plug-ins what time stretch options, without having to open a large DAW and everything. Also,...

Sound effects bible and other sound design books

Ric Viers sound effects bible, david sonnenschein sound design book, countless others Anyone ever check any of them out? Really want to pick something up to fill in some gaps that I feel like I have. Leaning toward the Ric viers stuff, i like that guy and his work for blastwave and detroit chop shop...

Re: Would anyone care to

Hey everyone, so KG isn't going to be able to do the Kontakt test, does anyone else have Kontakt 5? I don't want to post the mach 3 results because as good as they sound, I don't want them to stand out without listening to the K5 stuff as well.

Let me know.

Modeled guitar question

I feel absurd asking this question, but I don't really care. I feel like this is one of those things that slipped through the cracks for me. When you record real amps, you often don't record the exact tone that you want to hear. For example, a heavily distorted guitar is usually built in layers. I u...

Re: Would anyone care to

Unacceptable. You do this amazingly generous trivial task for me WHEN I ASK FOR IT.

Take your time man, I don't think I'd be listening to it until tomorrow. Eyes and ears are burning anyway.

Check those out. Sound really nice reversed also, I may use them believe it or not for a sort of laser sound.

Re: Would anyone care to

So I suppose KG will do K5? I only have 4, but when komplete 9 is announced will certainly be upgrading. Here is the link. There is a single piano note, a snare drum, a drum groove for non pitched but rhythmic and a piano loop for pitched and rhythmic. Try doing 2 or 3 octaves above and below. Don't...
