Massey AU's no more

It seems the Audio Unit Massey plugs have been shelved. This could be an insight into the challenges MOTU and others face when dealing with Apple! This was posted on PSW, (second page): http://recforums.prosoundweb.com/index.php/t/19395/7015/ Heres the statement: Sorry for the bad news y'all. This w...

Great Avatar, Santa!

I pointed this out in my response as well.
I don't know when I last used the "Parametics".
I wouldn't think there would be many mourners if they changed it to see the MWEQ bundle instead of the ParaEQ bundle.

FYI I got this response fro the Alphatrack Forum which seems promising: "With DP and AlphaTrack the EQ section has been coded such that we look for specific EQs in the list and then map it to the encoders. As you point out this is only done for the stock EQs right now. It should be possible to ...

Thanks James.

Have now posted on the Alphatrack Forum. I realise this may be a co-development issue between MOTU and FD. We'll see.

thanks for the replies. Yes theres a slight improvement with the pan, but the EQ variables are the ones I am most interested in, and there appears to be no change when pressing down the knob in this mode. For instance, the eq freq works in approx doubles when sweeping; 20, 40, 80, 160 etc. If you ma...

Alphatrack question(s)

Hi All, Is there and way to improve the resolution of the knobs when adjusting the eq? Is this a setting in DP itself or an alphatrack update? I've tried the 'flip' mode with the fader but the resolution is still the same. Also, any way of getting the MWEQ to come up in the EQ mode alongside the sta...

I managed to build the DP project on my G4 powerbook and import the files fine (DP5.12) . The iMac intel was not working. My work around was to then merge each track to a new file, then I was able to build the project in DP5.12 and import the new files on the iMac. Something seems to have happened w...

Transferring SD2 created in ProtoolsHD to DP5 causes crash?

Hi All. I suddenly seem to have an issue with some SD2 files -exported from a Protools session- crashing DP on my Intel iMac as soon as I try to import them from a project. I have been working this way for years between platforms and this is a new one this time. I track on a 32 channel PT HD system,...

All good info! It seems ONLY to be a problem with .L and .R file extensions. not mono source files. The wave file is clearly visible on the timeline of the sequence editor (not greyed out or anything) yet no sound. I have found that re-saving the session as a 5.1 file (to retain the session data, mi...

Missing Files in 5.12

Hi All, Just updated to 5.12 and have been experiencing strange behavior with files not playing back even though they are displayed on the timeline. It seems to affect non interleaved stereo files only (.L and .R) If I clear the bad files from the soundbites window and re-import, all is well. I then...

I switched to a FF800 recently. I also upgraded to a 2GHZ Dual Core Duo Intel iMac, 2gig ram DP5.11. I used the entire system within a week of getting the FF800 to multitrack a live big band performance (over 2hours) at The Leeds College of Music. The setup comprised the FF800, ADI-2, ADI-8 adat int...

I have similar problems recently. When I put the computer to sleep it will not wake up the 828. In fact today I am having great difficulty getting the whole system working. I've shut down and restarted, I've disconnected external drives, I've switched the 828 off then on etc. I have had this 828 for...
