Hey Miguel, Did you try to shorten the overall Chunk length to only what you’re using? Setting in the Chunk window. It has helped me in the past.

Re: DP 11.1 is out now!
When working with DP and virtual instruments I’ve always used the paradigm of a MIDI controlled external synth with its audio patched back to a physical mixer: -CC7 is like a physical volume controller on the synth module. I most often set it and leave it. -CC11 I use as a volume or other controller...

Re: MAC STUDIO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I recently replaced the internal 1T drive in my 6,1 with a Crucial 2T drive as per a post here by Mike H and had to use an adapter to make it fit. Working perfectly. Maybe the same here?

Re: Play Cursor back to the original position ?
Stubbsonic, thanks for the cursor/wiper correction. I assume you are talking about a new key command for this return to last start feature? Not sure if I would use it but I can see it could be useful to some ( to you obviously). A bit OT but try the “dot trick” to locate wiper/playback start to a sp...

Re: Play Cursor back to the original position ?
It’s great that DP presents several ways to accomplish this. As I mentioned in my first post, I’ve been doing things as I described for so long it’s second nature. Now that I think of it, the “dot trick” then I use all the time to move the cursor to a bar and then set memory start. How would your co...

Re: Play Cursor back to the original position ?
This works if you make a selection. Th OP was talking about jumping pack to previous cursor start point in the timeline w no selection made or if you want to move the cursor to its previous start point in the time which doesn’t coincide with a selection start

Re: Play Cursor back to the original position ?
Try this: 1. F1 “set memory start to counter “ before playing or recording 2. Numeric keypad 1 “rewind “ after stopping playback or recording sends cursor set in step 1 back to memory start point They can be combined with Keystroke Maestro. I’ve used these so many times it’s automatic. The two main...

Re: Simple Mouse Locator
I been using Mousepose for years. On Mojave and works great on my MP 6,1. I believe they’ve updated for AS but I’d check first. Adjustable size, color and length the highlight stays up on screen. I use a Kensington Trackball and one of its 4 buttons is assigned to trigger Mousepose. Sent from my iPh...

Re: REX files?
Hi Kinney, There’s an app “Easy REX Converter” in the App Store. The description says it will convert REX to .wav I’ve never tried it However l use Spectrasonics Stylus RMX as a standalone app to import REX files. From within DP as an Instrument, you can then drag the imported Rex file from the Styl...

Re: Yuja Wang in your living room.
Although I can see the advantage in certain circumstances I’m not a big fan of “ player pianos “ of any kind. Whenever I see and hear a human playing in a public space I stop to listen and watch. Watching keys fly up and down on their own is exciting for a minute. Watching someone apply their craft ...

Re: Yuja Wang in your living room.
Both the Yamaha Disklavier and this Steinway are still being sold and both are real pianos with recording and playback capabilities and the streaming possibilities. The maintenance is equal to that needed for a piano plus the recording and playback mechanisms. My piano tuner/technician back in the d...

Re: Using DP to write to picture
Apologies, “master chunk” is my terminology, not Motu’s. I use this sequence chunk to spot a film and then to break out music cues to their own sequence chunks for scoring. Pre roll is a term that defines how many frames precede the first frame of picture. You must account for this in the DP Movie W...
