MachFive Programs in BPM!!!
Hi all, just wanted to post something in case people haven't noticed. You CAN in fact load user created machfive programs in both the drum section and the racks of BPM. This was definitely not working when BPM first shipped, but maybe somewhere in the 1.04 update this feature was unlocked. awesome!

what i don't like about v-racks is the clicking and clicking to get to one of your VI edit windows. Go to mixer, click on v-edit, then find your instrument, click the 'edit' button. If we had true instrument tracks, click on plugin that is on channel strip that you're working in, click on it, voila.

Ummm... what do you mean? sorry not more specific. unified instrument tracks, so one doesn't need a separate MIDI track and an aux (dp calls them instrument) track. Logic was the first, then protools, then cubase. everyone pretty much does it. i don't mind the separate tracks. very often i have dif...

no instrument tracks???? That seems like a glaring omission. I think where this topic is going off track is that there are 2 discussions going on. The 2 possible topics are: 1. DP is dying and going out of business, that's everyone's perception anyway so it must be true, therefore James must jump in and defend MOTU so as not to further solidify people's alrea...

James, I think you're interpreting my post as an attack on DP or a baseless rant. The spirit of my post is one in which I mourn the loss of DP's user base, because like it or not, DP used to be the professional's choice for MIDI sequencing in the studio on lots of records (Not talking mainly about f...

there are several reasons DP is falling behind the competition. 1. no instrument tracks (MIDI track and inst. combined) 2. slow (as in NEW definition of slow slow) rendering of crossfades. 3. slow (there's that word again) performance of the overall program when you get a ton of edits going 4. bad p...

hi, i'll chime in as i use this setup from time to time. the major issues with it are 1. no rtas inserts on aux tracks. 2. no rewire 3. small stability issues. But for straight tracking, you should be fine. The actual performance of DP in my opinion is better under DAE than MAS. graphics, etc. appea...

hey guys, i was using DP with Reason 3.05 and noticed this as well the other day. I was on a Mac Pro with ProTools HD Core Audio. i.e., not firewire. At first i thought it was my ears, or speakers, or something of that nature, but eventually realized that DP was swelling the volume up and down like ...

that's it. fire away. 1. I wish DP had a lower latency. Whatever it is, it's higher than all the other native apps, noticeable with VI's. the only buffer setting that works is 256 or lower. Most others are workable (if not perfect) at 512. No firing here... only musing... From what I've seen, that'...

although I still need to use Pro Tools a lot for work. That just about sums it all up doesn't it. And while I know quite a few PTLE users who either upgraded to TDM or bolted from Digi because they couldn't afford to go TDM, I don't know a single PT TDM user who has abandoned Digi. Actually, I know...

Seq Editor Play Enable Buttons in Solo Mode....
.....WHY are these SO ridiculously hard to read? The only quick way for me to tell what's muted and what's not is to see if the level meter's moving. It's like someone decided to make it a game, except I'm not having fun.
