Used motu 8pre doesn't seem to have enough gain?

Hello I recently purchased a used 8 pre firewire interface and something I'm noticing is it doesn't seem to be able to provide enough gain? The cable I'm using is fine and I'm using a line audio CM4 which shouldn't require a super high amount of gain but I find myself turning the knob to 75% or more...

Re: Motu M4 issue - loopback audio always on?

That's not your problem but, without more info, I don't know what is. Remember that Audio MIDI Setup.app and System Preferences/Sound also control audio on as Mac. As for Zoom, you have Zoom Audio and Computer Audio. This is now over a year old and some of the Zoom updates have changed a few things...

Re: Motu M4 issue - loopback audio always on?

The only way to enable Loopback is to install the optional drivers. Core Audio does not support it. What do you mean by always on ? With the drivers installed, Loopback is always available to be engaged or not, same as selecting stereo 1–2 or 3–4 or mono 1, 2, 3 or 4. What you don't select is alway...

Motu M4 issue - loopback audio always on?

Hello everyone, I have an issue regarding the Motu m4 and loopback. It seems like the loopback function is always on for some reason and my system audio is always being captured as an input. I am running OSX Mojave 10.14.6 and I have correctly (I think?) installed the optional drivers. The loopback ...
