I don't have an hybrid and I didn't need any workaround. the driver is 100% compatible with the ultralite mk3 FW only. look my post above.

I'd say there's no chance in hell. You absolutely can't have firewire over a USB connexion; even 3.2/usb-c; those are too different protocols; FW will only work through thunderbolt.

So I guess there's no solution for this; I'll just shut down the MOTU each time I need to put the computer to sleep then.

The fastlane is still sold and listed on the MOTU website (https://motu.com/products/MIDI/fastlane_usb ); but the problem remain for all MOTU MIDI interfaces; they're not class compliant and support could be dropped any day.
