Re: Removing excessive outputs?
My guess is that you have your VEP server set for 8 MIDI ports. That would give you 8 ports (with 16 channels each) per instance. What you appear to be wanting is to take that down to one port per instance. Complex setups are complex, so I don't know what the repercussions would be across your enti...

Re: Removing excessive outputs?
I'm using a bunch of VI's through a Vienna Ensemble Pro Server, all my VI's are Kontakt or Play but it's all through the VEP MAS plugin. I don't know if this is an issue with what VEP is sending to DP or what but bundles isn't seeming like the right solution for the endless scrolling

Re: Removing excessive outputs?
Bundles.png Instrument Bundles.png It's whatever pops up, when I create instrument bundles they're not editable or anything, I'm sure I've done something wrong but I can't figure it out. Everything I've looked up about creating bundles makes it look super useful and easy but I can't seem to make it...

Re: Removing excessive outputs?
I'm not sure what's happening but none of these are listed so I can't drag them anywhere. I don't know if this is a VEP thing or a consequence of being on Windows but there aren't any outputs, busses, or instrument channels for these. I have generic busses but none of the instruments

Removing excessive outputs? - RESOLVED
Hey all, I have a moderately big orchestral template and I've been dealing with a QOL issue that, at some level, is inconsequential. But, for me, it is infuriating every time I want to add a new instrument. When I need to select an output for a MIDI instrument I have tons of outputs to scroll throug...

Re: Piano roll snapping
That's it! Good lord, I knew it would be simple but trying to search the manual wasn't working, I and my workflow thank you

Re: Piano roll snapping
I'm sure they are the notes, I get a note playback upon clicking and if they're within where the piano roll keeps snapping down to I can drag them around to new notes as always

Re: Piano roll snapping
Probably easier to just show you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YzR5keFMHFw In the video I scroll in the piano roll and then as soon as I click the note the piano roll position snaps elsewhere which makes editing inside the sequence very difficult. I'm sure there's some simple solution that I am j...

Piano roll snapping
So I just upgraded from DP9 to 11 and suddenly when I'm trying to edit my terrible playing in the piano roll, every time I click a note it snaps down a few octaves. It doesn't change the note, it's only on the initial click making dragging notes around nearly impossible. My work around has just been...

Re: MIDI tracks automatically recording volume and pan information
Right, it's just started happening without any major template changes. I thought at first it could be an issue with VEP but I have internal instances of Kontakt inside DP as well that are doing the same thing. I use the faders and pan inside DP for some extra fine tuning and that's all being reset t...

Re: MIDI tracks automatically recording volume and pan information
Ok, I've gone through and unchecked the arrow for everything and still as soon as I hit record I get an automatic pan and volume. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!

Re: MIDI tracks automatically recording volume and pan information
They're all set to "latch" with the green arrow. What confuses me is that this has been my default orchestral template for a number of years without this problem. I've gone into settings and disabled "Global Automation" but I'm not quite sure that's the right setting.

MIDI tracks automatically recording volume and pan information
Hello all, For whatever reason, midway through a session DP9 began automatically writing volume and pan on my MIDI tracks. Now after reloading it's just doing it all the time. This is really messing up my mix, lol. I'm using an old Kurzweil 88 with a MIDI to USB so I troubleshooted by unplugging it ...

Re: Busses mysteriously stopped working
Update for anyone with a similar issue, if the above doesn't work manually resetting the preferences did it for me. Find the DP preferences folder (C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\AppData\Local\MOTU\Digital Performer) and move it to desktop. All of your settings and plugins will have to be set back up unfort...

No go. Good suggestion though! I'm glad it worked on your end.
