Re: How to conform 23.976 fps Project to 24 fps ?

Simply import master track and use the pull up 0.1% preset. done. takes 2 mins. 2-pop matches perfectly. You mean import the flattened stereo master (or whatever format) with video into PT and choose a preset that "pulls up" the track by 0.1%? Isn't that just audio (and video) stretching?...

Re: How to conform 23.976 fps Project to 24 fps ?

fortunately, u are wrong on this one MLC ;-) conforming is very common, especially when u have to go DCP, which is 24p. But it appears like DP does not offer a set of post production tools to do that. PT does. Simply import master track and use the pull up 0.1% preset. done. takes 2 mins. 2-pop matc...

How to conform 23.976 fps Project to 24 fps ?

Hi, I have a DP project here that was set up and finished at 23.976. We now want to export the exact same sequence at 24 fps, which should shorten the overall duration of the sequence a tiny bit. How can this be done in DP 9.5 ? I duplicated the project, then opened it, and changed the frame rate se...

Re: Exported Soundbite Does Not Match Sequence Duration, 3s

figured it out... time code displayed in a 23.976 project is unfortunately not real time... it is based off 24p and does not account for the drop frame...

this is why the timeline display is correct but the export differs...

Re: Exported Soundbite Does Not Match Sequence Duration, 3s

The default preroll duration is 2 seconds, and the default postroll duration is 1 second. 3 seconds in total. So maybe its just a coincidence that the discrepancy you see is 3 seconds, but I thought it was worth checking that your exported file includes these 3 seconds, and it is being seen by what...

Re: Exported Soundbite Does Not Match Sequence Duration, 3s

Can you Edge Edit the Soundbite to make it 3 seconds longer in the Sequence editor? sorry bays, I'm not following... ;-) My problem is that I need the bounced/exported soundbite to be the exact same SMPTE timecode duration that was displayed in the sequence. So I need the exported file to be 00.39....

Re: Exported Soundbite Does Not Match Sequence Duration, 3s

Is the pre and postroll being included in the export? no, I create a selection (in the example stated above by simply double clicking the file, selection range states duration of 00.39.59.19) and then bounce-to-disk. the DP info of that newly created soundbite states 00.40.02.19, although when I dr...

Exported Soundbite Does Not Match Sequence Duration, 3s Diff

Hi guys, I have a problem here with a mismatch of the duration/length of an exported soundbite vs. the SMPTE time code duration that was stated inside DP for that selection. I can only assume I am not understanding frame rates / sample rates / timecodes correctly. Here's the info: > DP 9.5 > project...

Re: Question Regarding Selections

@FMiguelez: thank you. I do some of that already, and my intent is to reduce the amount of keystrokes when creating specific time code range selections. so currently, with creating a dummy selection and then punching in the time code that is the fastest I can come up with... everything else seems to...

Question Regarding Selections

Hi guys, have two questions regarding selections: (1) is there an option to re-select the last selection ? (2) in the TO window, there is the selection bar up top which allows to fine tune the selections range. The only way this works for me is to make a dummy selection first and then punch in the r...

Re: DP & NLA VideoSlave 3 Setup

Ok, we're in the same boat - I figured out a few things. It cost a bit of money to fix though. I had the same issue with the video jumping around (on same computer or hosted on another), luckily adding a black burst sync generator helped resolve this issue. Does your video card/hardware have a LTC ...

Re: Move tracks from one sequence to another?

one thing I can report for all the solutions posted here in this thread is, that none of them honor folder structure... if u try to copy MIDI tracks from one sequence to another - using any of the approaches here - it will destroy the folder structure the tracks are located in... MIDI tracks will be...

Re: Possible to Rename CC controllers for MIDI track ?

yeah, most important thing is that the CCs used change for each MIDI track (--> for each instrument/articulation, or at least for each library), so I need dedicated CC labels per MIDI track. The edit option under Preferences is only for 7 CCs and those are global labels, they'll never be useful on a...
