Edschul13,
This interface can only be used with either USB or Thunderbolt at a time. It is not possible to use both connection types simultaneously.
Best,

Re: UltraLite-mk4 not recognized in Discovery App
I'm having the same problem with my MK4 on a Mac using High Sierra. Again it's been put down to a security setting that Apple have introduced and I'm not getting anywhere with the Motu support guys (although helpful). I really really need to get the soundcard working and I can't without updating th...

Re: New MOTU 828es with 2009 MacPro
Hi all, Glad to see some interest in the 828es! Just wanted to jump in a clear a few things up. One can use the Ethernet connection for direct AVB audio on a new Mac (Thunderbolt ready, running 10.10 or later). Performance is better overall with USB or Thunderbolt in terms of channel counts and late...

Re: Track16 route output to input possible
bur4ever, This can be done easiest with an ADAT optical cable. Loop the cable from ADAT output to ADAT input on the Track16. Route audio from your computer, to the ADAT outputs ( Keep in mind that you will need to set ADAT as your "Default Stereo Output" in MOTU Audio Setup for playback fr...

Re: AC voltage for MOTU 896HD
_bhawkins,
You'll notice that there is a voltage selector switch on the right side panel of the unit. This is a red switch that is recessed in the unit. You can switch it with a ballpoint pen or screw driver. Set this switch to 230v and you should be all set!

Re: Cuemix + Microbook II + Ableton Live 9
HI there! I have a Microbook II, but I can't figure out how to setup it direct on Ableton Live 9. I have a simple Focusrite and it works direct on Ableton, without a software like Cuemix. There is a way to use the Microbook direct on Ableton too? If I mute the channels on CueMIx, there is no sound ...

Re: Motu 16a <- ada8200 <- kemper
my 16a is connected via adat to 2 behringer ada8000/8200. My kemper profiling amp analog outputs to one of the behringer and then adat to the 16a When recording i get digital noise bursts from the adat connection. Only when recording. When just playback, no problems. i've tried both behringer devic...

Re: 4Pre and Mac OS Sierra 10.12,4
Hi Ben@work, I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble getting this device up and running. How do you have the 4Pre connected to your computer? Are you using the USB or Firewire connection? If you haven't already done so, please make sure you're running the 4pre on its internal clock. This setting can...

Re: Possible to MOTU Out 1-24?
Hello everyone I've got a MOTU 624. I see Out 1-2 as a playback device and also Out 1-24. Is it somehow possible to split the Out 1-24 into several stereo playback devices? :?: Like Out 3-4, 5-6 and so on. Changing the routing does not change the device list in Windows. Regards, Chris NationChrime,...

Re: 1248 routing/matrix problem
I am having some problems with routing my 1248 in conjunction with my DAW (Ableton). Let's say I have mic1 routed to "to computer 1" and I wanna use the Motu internal eq and compressor. On my input in Ableton changes are not audible (except for mic gain). Only if I route the mic1 to an au...

Re: Where is the "From Host 1-2" track on the Track16 CueMix
Hi Rick, The Track 16 runs a different version of CueMix. It runs CueMix FX, which has more DSP capability than the Microbook. The Track 16 does not have the "From Host 1-2" channel. Routing of your DAW is done in the typical fashion of choosing which output pair on the tracks themselves w...

Re: The new M64 as clock master
RK,
You can use this unit to replace both of those pieces of hardware. All of our interfaces can run on their own internal clock and generate Wordclock for other external devices.

Re: 8Pre Firewire doesn't see MOTU driver
Hi All, Just wanted to jump in here. The 8pre FW will work fine with the FW -> TB adapter. You will also need to buy a FW400 -> 800 cable to get the connection types to match. Feel free to call us with questions like this any time. MOTU Tech Support - 617.576.3066 Travis - MOTU Tech Support
