From DP Plugins (set), the Sonic Modulator plugin has vanished. I’ve checked Preferences>Audio plugins and the AU and VST folders themselves. Gone.

Following Daniel Sneed's advice, I gathered all the sequence (Chunks) into a single DP file. They have some 80 tracks each. So far have had no problems.

Including analysis files, the whole project comes to 6Gb.

Worth a try.

For MIDI, I think it's one at a time. For audio, a sync. point could be used and DP refers to that.

If some of your MIDI tracks have common relative positions, you could try moving them in groups, according how much they need to move.

I’m working on a DP project with about 30 x 'chunks'. So that DP project files don’t get too big, I’ve divided these across 4 x DP project files holding about seven chunks each. Each of the DP project files is about 1.5Gb big. Each project file uses the same, duplicated V-Rack ...not ideal as V-Rack...

Found it Bayswater, sorry, it's in Setup>Automation Setup...

Ensure Automation Playback and/or Recording are un-ticked (un-checked US), then click 'Save as Default for Audio Tracks' button.

Would suggest:

• Check hardware configuration

• Delete DP preference files

• Check your hardware drivers are up to date and compatible

There might be a setting in Preferences under Automation for automation to default to off for new tracks. (I need to go back and check.)

I agree it is frustrating to have to turn Automation record off every time a new track is set up.

Works OK for me using MIDI slider from controller keyboard for example. Just use the 'MIDI Learn' function in DP.
