Re: Questions about MIDI/QuickScribe editors
What I have done is to choose the Grand Staff as the score option for the track, and then used "Switch Staff" command from the mini menu. Screenshot 2024-04-15 at 22.26.58.png A question: can I change the clef in the middle of the piece for the Grand Staff? I would like to start with the G...

Re: Questions about MIDI/QuickScribe editors
In answer to question #1, there is a command in the mini menu to SWITCH STAFF. Ah, the mini menu, I have to re-discover this. Reading the manual! Regarding question #2, I don't think DP has any capacity to control voices. It will automatically force voice separations when required to by overlapping...

Re: Questions about MIDI/QuickScribe editors
Question 2: can I select several notes in MIDI editor and tell QuickScribe to move these notes to a certain voice (First or upper voice, second or lower voice)? Here I would like to separate the voices. The selected notes in MIDI should be in the secondary voice. MIDI: Screenshot 2024-04-12 at 21.22...

Questions about MIDI/QuickScribe editors
I wish to clean up various MIDI recordings. Question 1: Can I select several notes in MIDI editor and tell QuickScribe to move notes to a certain staff? Here are the examples. The first measure notes all should be in the upper staff, in one voice. In MIDI: Screenshot 2024-04-12 at 20.47.33.png Here ...

Re: Buying DP now or wait?
I am still on demo, 10 days left. I have pretty intensive project ahead that I would test on DP, so I will try to evaluate as much as I can.

Re: Buying DP now or wait?
I have tried Performer Lite and was confused, frankly speaking. I couldn't do anything properly. For example, I have tried to enable MIDI multitrack recording, but there is no a such option. I need routing to different channels through various MIDI devices. // For about 2 years ago I read about &quo...

Re: Buying DP now or wait?
If you need to know, then send an email asking that, if you purchase now would you be granted a courtesy upgrade to the next version. I don't have a direct email to ask. There is just help for ones that own a MOTU product. I sent an query on their FB. If you are eligible for a Competitive Upgrade (...

Buying DP now or wait?
Hello.
I am thinking of buying DP as of today (version 11.31) but I am unsure if it will soon come out version 12. To wait or not?

Re: QuickScribe displays wrong notation
But yea, if you want to get partway there with DP, it's not for you, I think. I see an advantage over LPX, it displays all kind of tuplets, and exports XML flawlessly. It can also quantize into more esoteric way (7:8 16ths for instance). That is definitely something important to me. But I don’t wan...

Re: QuickScribe displays wrong notation
Unfortunately, this has been a problem for a long time, where Quickscribe does not interpret rhythms correctly even when they are quantized. Oh, that's pretty bad... Quite a serious bug, actually. Why it was not fixed for so long? I just wanted to buy DP, coming from Logic Pro X! The problem with L...

QuickScribe displays wrong notation
Above is the notation of the selected notes below. It displays 8-tuplets instead of 32-notes (tied): Screenshot 2024-03-31 at 15.40.38.png I have shortened the overlapping notes to see if it will display 32-notes, it does, but on the wrong position. It should be 32+8dot+32, within the full beat. Scr...

Re: MIDI beat mapping (again...) DP11
Yes, it is a free improvisation made without a click-track, and without metronome.
