Re: Cue Mix
Here is the "generic" answer: You could set up your Bundles to the audio interface defining each output and a stereo buss for each, then use the sends to output to different AUX channels which are routed to each interface output, setting up a different mix in DP from the sends output level...

Re: Cue Mix
Not the CueMix software, MLC.
In PreSonus lingo:
"A cue mix is separate from the main mix and is usually provided to musicians for monitoring purposes during recording. For instance, when recording vocals, the engineer and vocalist will probably want to hear different mixes."

Re: Problems setting up Zoom.US with DP
Yes, Mike, I followed that video and read the book also. On a PC you would use a virtual mixer with ASIO capabilities to tie into the soundcard like Voicemeeter Banana , which is what I use to accomplish this. It sounds pretty darn good - in stereo and clean as can be! No compression. I do sound mix...

V-Racks, Aux Tracks, Pre-Gen, Clippings, VEP vs Local
Here are my notes concerning the headline topics and how they work together: V-Racks (or even a single v-rack) are convenient for sampled instruments where there is no need to change much, as you can assign a bunch of sequence chunks to them and they will not reload the samples every time you switch...

Re: MIDI problems using MOTU Ultralite MK3
And here I come in 2020, Ultralite MK3 with crap MIDI issues. The Ultralite refuses to play nice with sending MIDI to external gear with Ableton Live 9, when a Focuswrite Scarlet works just fine. The Ultralite has one of the sketchiest FireWire connections too, if you breathe at it too hard the pow...

Re: About Ultralite Hybird MK3 with win10 ver1903
When mine got flaky like that, removing the driver and then reinstalling the driver fixed all the problems I was having. It seems to happen every few months, but the driver reinstall always repairs it. I hope that is the case for you as well.

The portions relevant to Digital Performer have been removed from North Koran, so I hope they are doing South Koran.MIDI Life Crisis wrote:I wonder if they mean North Koran or South Koran? Wait, what?monkey man wrote:

For the Mac folks, SoundFlower might provide the same capabilities to get your soundcard's audio into a format that OBS Studio accepts.

Re: Has anyone used DP with OBS software?
Also, this seems to be a work in progress: https://github.com/Andersama/obs-asio/releases This video shows how to set up Voicemeeter as a virtual ASIO device that uses your sound card's buffer settings as its basis, greatly improving latency. I recommend then bringing the B1 or B2 Voicemeeter VAIO o...

Re: Has anyone used DP with OBS software?
In what sense? To make videos about Digital Performer? To live-stream performances using DP as the VST host? In the Windows platform, I make videos about software (including DAWs) and live-stream performances (though I use Cantabile 3 Performer for that - same principles, though.) You need to be som...

Re: daisy chaining problem
I have confirmed with MOTU that you cannot run a Firewire and a USB audio interface at the same time. You were not clear whether you were trying to do that or not. If your Firewire port on the computer has only one input, then daisy chain one 828 into the other one. However, this only works even som...

Re: New Bugs in DP 1011 (current latest version)
Also, having many plugins in operation at once can slow down the GUI because, logically, realtime audio plugin operations will always take precedence over GUI operations. In your preferences for the track window (open it by double-clicking on any column heading in the tracks tab), make sure you have...

Re: New Bugs in DP 1011 (current latest version)
Which audio driver are you using? Do you make use of QuickScribe? If so, have you tried adjusting the margins? I'm running Windows 10 with an Asus Z390-P motherboard, an i7-9700 CPU, 32GB of RAM, 2 fast SSD drives and I've configured Windows for digital audio. My DAW is a dedicated machine, it's on...

Re: New Bugs in DP 1011 (current latest version)
Just so people do not get the idea that DP 10.11 is unstable in a Windows 10 environment, I am running it just fine, with 16 megs of RAM, two SSD's, using VEP to two slave computers, a massive template, etc. When I am using the VEP instruments I keep the buffers fairly high (512). When those are tur...
