Re: Acoustic gtr instrument: Orange Tree, Pettinhouse, Ample?
Years since a reply. Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I'm casting a vote for Ample AGM. I spent a few days listening to and trying out demos when possible. Hands down...Ample is a clear winner for realistic sounding. It has a play mode that restricts you from playing impossible notes, which chan...

Re: Is Ozone 8 Advanced not compatible with DP9
Hey Mike. It's a 64-bit. I successfully replaced and upgraded most of my 32-bit plugins collected over the years to 64-bit, with the exception of some soft synths which cannot be replaced because the developer died. Phil, thanks for that. For the sake of efficient consolidation, I had a single VST f...

Is Ozone 8 Advanced not compatible with DP9
So, I demo'd Ozone 8 with Pro Tools and Ableton Live but not with DP...so, that's on me. Anyway, I bought Ozone 8 Advanced and apparently DP9 won't load the plugins. They were all tagged with errors during the plugin scan. I have Ozone 5 as well but that loads fine. Anyone tried to override the erro...

Re: jBridge & DP: any experiences
I can't believe no one answered this question. Have you tried BlueCat's Patchwork or the mighty Vienna Ensemble Pro? This is such a late reply that I'm sure you've already found a solution.

Re: Edit Registered User on Splash Screen
Hey Mike, Well, I thought there might be a .ini file I can edit because I can spell my name with lower case letters, upper case letters, or a combination of both, because I've done that on several installations. So, I don't think editing my user account info on the Motu servers will matter. I guess ...

Re: DP crashing when bouncing movie to disc
Sorry about being kind of late on this and I don't remember what video container I used, I think it was MP4, but I changed the codec that I used to compress the video because DP would just close out when it can time to render. Sorry about being light on details but try a different codec and resoluti...

Edit Registered User on Splash Screen
By the way, is there a way to edit the registered username on the splash screen? I want to capitalize my name so it's nice and big when I load up DP.
By the way, how are you guys liking that new time stretching update they put into 9.5? Apparently Monophonic DNA is now Polyphonic. What an update!

I have that problem too. I suspect it's an internal system security prosecute. I think they fixed it with the update just released.

Re: Insanely slow bounce
Hey Mike! It's Win7-64bit. I have twin SSDs running on this system and 16GB of ram. ProTools and Live have no problems when I BTD. I ran RAM diagonostics and there were no errors. Although BTD is insanely slow, the files do render nicely and are not corrupted. Now as far as newly installed plugins, ...

Insanely slow bounce
The system affected was fine before the latest update. After the update, bouncing takes an insanely long time. Even rendering silence takes an insane amount of time. Actually writing to disk in real time is faster, which I don't mind doing but I do need that system to do a quick bounce every once an...

Remuxing Audio to Video File - what's your workflow?
I was curious what some of you use for remuxing audio to video, that is, when you don't want to re-render video but simply replace the audio in a video file. What I would be interested in hearing is what format of video do you use and what application are you using. I know Cubase does this nicely an...

VST3 for DP9
I wouldn't dismiss Cakewalk Sonar either - it has really dedicated itself to VST3 support all around, and it can be had very inexpensively. I took a look at Sonar and from the days of 3.5" floppy disks, Cakewalk has come a long way. I really like that DAW a lot. I really love what it can do bu...

Re: VST3 for DP9
Would Blue Cat Audio's PatchWorks work for you? It claims to support VST3 on their product page. I have not used it myself, but Rich Hilton (Nile Rogers' studio guy and Chic keyboardist) highly recommends it. And it's $99. So, I tried it out and it actually loads the VST3 plugin but I can only get ...

Re: VST3 for DP9
I never thought about that. I just checked and it says it can. I'm going to have to give that a try later today. Thanks for that great find! I totally forgot about BlueCat. I'm wondering what limitations that will have with Vocalign considering the technological differences between VST2 and 3. Well....

Re: VST3 for DP9
Found it! Whew! So, VST3 plugins cannot be hosted in an instance of VEPro, and it was answered by Paul himself as well as DG. Located in response #15 by Paul on the following page : https://vsl.co.at/community/search?search=VST3&forum=34 "There is no VST3 plug-in support in VE PRO 6, only V...
