Re: V-Racks one or multiple?

I was thinking about using a v-rack per instance and enabling/disabling but I wonder if that would get unwieldy? Hundreds of v-racks - is that a bad idea?

Re: Cinesymphony Lite or Komplete 11 Ultimate Upgrade

Thanks bayswater. This is a good point. I'm relieved to hear that you think there would definitely be benefits vs. GPO5. (Can be very hard to separate need from desire in this area). I think if I can zero in a bit more what I would like to know what opinions are of the orchestral content included wi...

Re: Cinesymphony Lite or Komplete 11 Ultimate Upgrade

Sure. And thanks for taking the time! I'm really just a novice at anything orchestral. Coming from electronic music and rock(ish) background. I have a stationary setup. A couple macs with some RAM and I'm just trying to get to a point where my soundset is adequate enough. (Meaning good enough. Yes I...

Cinesymphony Lite or Komplete 11 Ultimate Upgrade

Hi all, Question. Was listening to the Cinesymphony Lite demos today and it sounded really good for someone with little budget atm. But then I noticed that Komplete 11 ultimate upgrade (which is same price) has their brass and string essentials as well as respective solo instruments and they sound p...

That's cool to know! I'm no key chain expert. I wouldn't even know how to access it on my iPhone. In the end if you don't leave the Apple Eco then it seems key chain is more than capable. Admittedly I've been using 1p since before key chain existed so I'm just used to counting on it. That being said...

Re: 1password

Mutlplatform/multibrowser support would be the most concrete difference I can think of. Else if you are OSX/IOS/Safari only then I think you would be more than fine with Keychain. I'd just add that Keychain is I believe limited to just passwords and credit cards. In 1Password you can put pretty much...

I use 1password. I swear by it. I put everything in there. Software licenses, secure notes, all manner of passwords, cards etc. When I rebuild any of my systems OSX or iOS it's the first thing I install (after Dropbox) and then I'm off. Are there other products that do the same ? Sure. Lots. Is it w...

Opinions on VEP vs V-Rack

Hi Everyone, Just wanted to get everyones thoughts on using VEP locally vs using V-Racks. I was reading somewhere recently that using VEP even locally is highly recommended from an efficiency and performance point of view. I must admit it was a bit of a revelation as I thought about the benefits of ...

New Thunderbolt2-Dock - $300 - Me want! Me buy!

I have one. It's been rock solid for me. I specifically got it because of the FireWire but again, it's been an absolute performer. I personally think it's without competition at the moment. I'm driving a display at 2560 x 1440. An RME Fireface 400 over FireWire. Many USB devices. No issues. No audio...

Re: Instrument/Track Presets

Thanks for the response. I'm surprised to hear you say that it would be more efficient to have multiple instances of the VI vs a single with multi audio outs. I haven't typically thought that way. One more thing...so this whole experiment here is in an effort to setup the instrument with the multi-o...

Re: Instrument/Track Presets

Big thanks for the responses everyone. Very helpful (and maybe a bit mind-blowing). I'm trying to get going with using a v-rack for this. I am noticing once thing and maybe its just the way it is or maybe i'm missing something. I'm loading up an instance of Reaktor 16 Out. I then move it into a v-ra...

Instrument/Track Presets

Hi everyone, Trying to figure out how to do something with DP8 (if even possible). Here is my example scenario: - Setup VI (Maschine for example). Likely in a V-Rack. - Route each of Maschines outputs to separate AUX tracks. I want to know is there any way to save this whole configuration as a prese...

Re: track presets in DP?

Could this same method be used to launch a rewire project? So for example add an ableton project to the clip area and have it load automatically with the project? Would be really handy if that worked! Anyone try it?

Disable Auto Region/Clip Sizing/Splitting?

Hi,

Is there a way to stop DP from splitting up my clips/regions? I just want to be able to handle this manually for some projects. If I want a clip to be 4 bars or 8 bars then I don't want it to change regardless of what it contains. I sense its not possible but am hoping it might be.

TIA
